There is a saying that a clock is right twice a day and at one time, this was true for Joe Biden, too. Though conservatives have never liked Biden, we can admit that he never negated life beginning at conception. This belief was never one he argued because as a Catholic, he was brought up with that acknowledgement. Twice during his boss’ presidency (once in 2008 and once in 2015) Biden stated that when it came to religion, he accepted and acknowledged that life began long before a heart beat.
Fox News reports:
President Biden on Friday appeared to change a position he had just six years ago on whether life begins at conception. His comments came during a press conference where he discussed Texas’ recently enacted abortion law.
“I respect those who believe life begins in the moment of conception – I respect that,” he told reporters. “Don’t agree but I respect that.”
Biden has long maintained that the government shouldn’t force particular beliefs on Americans. That’s part of the reason he supported the Hyde Amendment, which blocks federal funding for most abortions. But amid pressure in the 2020 campaign, he reversed his decades-old stance on the issue.
So what happened? What changed when he stated back in 2008 that “I’m prepared as a matter of faith to accept that life begins at the moment of conception.” Or far more recently in 2015 when he said; “I’m prepared to accept that at the moment of conception there’s human life and being, but I’m not prepared to say that to other God-fearing, non-God-fearing people that have a different view”?

While the White House didn’t want to comment or respond to Fox, there is one theory that immediately comes to mind.
Even if Sleepy Joe isn’t aware that he needs a win, you know his administration is. The economy is tanking, gas prices are sky-rocketing, COVID-19 remains as “out of control” as it ever was under President Trump, and the disaster in Afghanistan has hurt Biden’s image with some of his staunchest supporters and allies. With the increasing risk of losing the house or the senate in 2022, Biden is running out of time to impress the “70 million” people who voted for him and keep his party in power.
So now that the Heartbeat Bill in Texas wasn’t blocked by the US Supreme Court, Biden has his moment to connect with the soft-brained, gender confused, infant murdering constituents. The strategy would be to get as many people to see his attempt at action and pull focus off the disaster in Afghanistan. He and his administration don’t want the American people remembering that there are still allies and citizens of US stranded in a terrorist controlled country.
There is a fantastic and very short article on Joe Biden’s voting record and comments on abortion. It calls out 16 different moments in Joe Biden’s career in which he either fought against abortion or fought for it.
CatholicLeague reports:
There is no one in public life who has undergone such a dramatic transformation. He did not change because of the Catholic Church: it did not change its position on abortion. He did not change because of science: it did not change its position on when life begins. It was Biden who changed, and he did so for totally political reasons.
A credible theory if we’ve ever heard one.
