Robert Francis O’Rourke, the Texan with a DUI that wants a leadership position and calls himself “Beto” in a sad attempt to ingratiate himself with Hispanics, is back. Now, rather than run for a Senate seat in the Lonestar State, he wants to be governor.
Unfortunately for him, Texans probably don’t want him to be governor, just as they didn’t want him to be a senator.
Evidence of that dislike of Robert O’Rourke came when he tried holding a rally and was told off by a member of the crowd, as you can watch here:
Texas man tells Beto off!

In the video, you can hear the man yell a number of things, including: “We don’t want you here,” “On behalf of the ranchers, the oil and gas and farmers, I’m in your grill telling you don’t come back,” “You ain’t taking my guns, either,” and, best of all, “Nobody wants you here. No means no. Three times – you lost twice. No means no!”
That last, hilarious remark is likely a reference to Robert Francis O’Rourke’s 2018 attempt to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz, his lackluster 2020 presidential bid, and, now, his already faltering attempt at the governorship.
The “you ain’t taking my guns, either” comment likely refers to O’Rourke’s declaration in a 2019 presidential primary debate that he would “take your AR-15” and “your AK-47.” He recently reaffirmed that radical, gun-grabbing view, saying “I still hold this view.”
KFox14 reports more on the incident, saying that:
Upon being escorted to the perimeter of the event the protester named Robert could be seen holding up a Gonzales flag from the 19th century Texas Revolution, which is a hallmark of Texas pride and a symbol of defiance.
“Hey Beto,” said Robert as he held up the flag, “come and take it! Come and take it. It ain’t gonna happen, you done lost twice.”
O’Rourke’s supporters began blowing whistles to drown out the counter protesting. A man wearing a shirt with O’Rourke’s image and name on it engaged the protesters in his own verbal skirmish. At that point, Robert the protester could be heard shouting “Kyle Rittenhouse, Kyle Rittenhouse baby, Kyle Rittenhouse!”
Many on Twitter agreed with the protestor, using comments on videos of his remarks to make their own points about O’Rourke’s shortcomings:
I am old enough to remember when “Beto” wanted to use eminent domain in El Paso to steal away generational homes from El Pasoans.

I lived in Robert Francis O’Rourke’s hometown for 20 years. I can confirm nobody likes him there. 🤣

The tumultuous protest at his event came as O’Rourke was already in the spotlight for saying on CNN that he doesn’t want President Biden to come to Texas to try to help him out:
Robert Francis O’Rourke might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, as the banal generalities he fills that interview with show, but, apparently, he’s smart enough to grasp that being seen with President Brandon, whose approval ratings are sinking like a rock, won’t help him out.
Unfortunately for him, that one bright thought probably won’t matter; as the protester said, O’Rourke has already lost twice. Texans don’t want him in charge.
