A DC Radio Station is Paid Millions to Pump Out Pro-CCP Propaganda

While we often fret about the damage done by covert Chinese activities, such as its coercion of NGOs like the WHO or the information stolen during Chinese industrial espionage attacks, what shouldn’t be forgotten is the damage done by some of the CCP’s more overt activities.

For example, Amazon is pushing a pro-CCP message on America through “China Books,” Confucius Institutes on America’s campus’s regularly push pro-CCP messaging, and public figures like John Cena and LeBron James regularly bow to the CCP, showing its dominance of America.

Now there’s another example of that CCP propaganda to note; a DC radio station is being paid millions to pump out CCP propaganda in the heart of our nation.

That’s according to Just the News, which reported that:

The Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda paid a Washington, D.C.-area radio station $4.4 million over the last several years to broadcast Chinese messaging, according to foreign agent disclosure filings.

The Potomac Media Group, headquartered in Virginia, disclosed its contract with the CCP’s International Communication Planning Bureau in filings submitted to thee Department of Justice.

That filing indicates that PMG airs the content of China Global Television Network, a programming network based in Beijing.

And, to be clear, it’s not just a few wackos who make millions by rambling about how much they love the CCP.

No, the radio station is directly paid by the CCP to push certain, party-approved messages; the CCP’s Communication Planning Bureau can and does approve what it shares during broadcasts, making sure the station shares information about the CCP in the best possible light.
