Twitter censorship has been picking back up again, escalating ever since Jack Dorsey stepped down and the new, anti-free speech CEO, Parah Agrawal, was installed a few short days ago.
Most recently, Twitter banned Melissa Tate, a conservative commentator and influencer known for her brilliant attacks on the leftist regime. Here’s what she had to say about her suspension when she announced it on Facebook:
BREAKING: Twitter just suspended my account with almost half a million followers with no warning for sharing a clip from the Joe Rogan podcast where he is interviewing Doctor McCullough. Twitter said this was “harmful information”
This video is a video that was trending on Twitter so I’m not the only one who shared it.
This was selective enforcement & targeting by Twitter because they have been trying to silence me for over 5 years now, having locked down & deleted a previous account I had before this one.
As an immigrant who came from Marxism to America for freedom, I never thought I would see America fall to totalitarianism.
This is beyond Soviet Style censorship when you are not even allowed to share a clip of a doctor sharing factual scientific, researched information & info about the early treatment results he is getting with his own patients.
So it’s off to the digital gulag for me!

So, Melissa is fortunate in that she could use her Facebook account to direct others toward her accounts on other platforms, but this censhorship is absurd. Twitter also
recently banned the Ghislaine Trial Tracker, an account that was tweeting out updates on the trial of Epstein’s longtime partner.
As she so astutely points out, the censorship regime of the tech bros is not only selectively enforced, but a Soviet-style crackdown on thought that punishes those who share wrongthink.
Agrawal must have though 1984 was an instruction manual rather than a warning, for his policies seem much more like the what the government of Oceania would come up with to protect the regime and support Big Brother than the policies of a pro-American company hoping to defend the 1st Amendment.
In any case, while Melissa Tate’s suspension from Twitter is one of Twitter’s higher profile attacks on conservative thought as of late, it certainly won’t be the last. That’s because the new CEO, Agrawal, has openly come out against the 1st Amendment and concept of free speech in past interviews. For example, the
New York Post reports that:
In a 2018 interview, Agrawal said Twitter should “focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.”
“Where our role is particularly emphasized is who can be heard,” he went on. “And so increasingly our role is moving towards how we recommend content … how we direct people’s attention.”
“Focus less on thinking about free speech” certainly seems to be his new modus operandi; “Gleefully censor those with whom we disagree” might be the Twitter motto moving forward.
Fortunately, Republicans like Gov. DeSantis and Josh Hawley are finaly starting to take on Big Tech, so perhaps conservatives in office will use their power to break the back of the censorship regime before it’s too late.
In any case, help support Ms. Tate overcome the censorship by following her on the other platforms she enumerated in her Facebook post! As Benjamin Franklin once said, “we must all hang together, else we shall most assuredly hang separately.” Let’s hang together to defeat Agrawal and his Soviet-style censorship regime.
