The way Brandon presents it, we all should be thanking him for leading us into the land of milk and honey after four years of wandering in the desert under the bad orange man.
That’s coming from Biden’s end-of-year memo, called “2021: POTUS Delivered Results for Working Families.” That memo, distributed to his allies in DC, reportedly said:
“Before President Biden took office: less than 1% of Americans were vaccinated. Today: More than 71% of American adults are fully vaccinated.”
“Before President Biden took office: less than 46% of schools were open. Today, 99% of schools are open.”
And that’s not the half of it. The memo also makes these claims:
“The Administration stood up a historic COVID-19 vaccination program – funded by the American rescue Plan…”
“…they [Congressional Dems and Biden] worded across the aisle to pass the Bipartisan Infrasture Law to rebuild roads and bridges, replace lead pipes, and create millions of good-paying jobs.”
“The President has taken action to address supply chain blockages and address price increases, including a historic release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and signing a Competition Executive order that is already lowering the prices or {he probably meant “of”] hearing aids.”
“Before President Biden took office: Moody’s estimated 2021 GDP growth at 2.9%. Today: On pace for growth of 5-6% growth- the best since 1984.”
“Before President Biden took office: Escalating supply chain issues due to global pandemic. Today: The number of containers sitting on the docks at ports for over a week has ben but by half since the beginning of November, and store shelves are stocked for the holiday season.”
Of course, delusional Brandon can claim whatever he wants, but most of those claims are absurd.
The vaccination one is partly true, as more people got the jab after Brandon took office. But that was because of the timeline for its rollout, not because of Brandon’s brilliance. Furthermore, the claim that he “stood up” a vaccine program is an outright lie. Trump did.
Next up is the infrastructure claim. What’s true is that some roads and bridges will be fixed or built. What’s left out of his statement is that the radical bill contained numerous provisions to fund far-left projects.
Then there’s his GDP claim. Sure, GDP growth might have edged higher this year. But, remember that the CPI has increased by about 7%. So, if the economy only increases in size by 5% and inflation has increased by 7%, that’s not great news; it doesn’t show economic strength.
And, most absurdly, Brandon claims he inherited then fixed the supply chain crisis. That’s a lie. The supply chain issue cranked up to a problematic level of intensity when Mayor Pete went on paternity leave and has remained a problem despite Biden’s declarations of victory. For example, it was just last week that Halloween costumes were finally being offloaded; the problem is far from fixed.
So, Brandon can claim whatever he wants, but you should know the truth: things haven’t gotten better under him, nor has he even done the things he highlights as his greatest accomplishments.
