It’s not just economic migrants and Central American “refugees” that are rushing across the border. According to a recent Border Patrol announcement, in which the Border Patrol announced that it had arrested a Saudi Arabian national who is a “potential terrorist” attempting to sneak across the border. As Breitbart reported:
According to the Border Patrol, the migrant will be processed for an expedited removal to his home country. The migrant was arrested near County 8 ½ Road west of Yuma. The area has been inundated with crossings recently. Migrants from a multitude of countries are now choosing Yuma as an entry point.
[…]The migrant arrested on Thursday is considered a “potential terrorist” by the Border Patrol, most likely indicating the migrant is a KST tag. DHS defines the category for suspected terrorists under this designation as “an individual who is reasonably suspected to be engaging in, has engaged in, or intends to engage in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism and/or terrorist activities.”
And while this arrest of what DHS terms a “Special Interest Alien” (SIA) is the most recent arrest of such an individual, it’s hardly the only arrest of a potential terrorist crossing the border.
For example, back in March, a group of 11 Iranians was caught trying to sneak over the border. Furthermore, 12 SIAs were caught on one day in November; they came from states like Syria and Afghanistan.
So, it’s not just economic damage and more drugs like fentanyl that are coming across the border. Potential terrorists are too.
