The bad news for fake news outlet CNN just keeps rolling in. First, word leaked that it’d have to fire lots of its “talent” due to plummeting ratings. Then Fredo Cuomo had to be let go thanks to sexual assault allegations. Then a Don Lemon accuser said it was full of predators and perverts. Now, a CNN producer has been arrested for engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a 9-year-old!
That’s according to Newsweek, which, in a shocking article, reports that:
John Griffin, 44, of Stamford, Connecticut, was arrested on Friday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to a statement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont.
The indictment says that between April and July 2020, he used Google Hangouts and Kik to communicate with people purporting to be the parents of underage girls.
[…]”On these communication platforms, Griffin sought to persuade parents to allow him to train their daughters to be sexually submissive,” the indictment said.
Griffin, the alleged statutory rapist, is a senior producer at CNN, where it worked with Chris Cuomo before Cuomo was booted from the company.
According to the horrifying indictment, he paid the mother of two young girls, one 9 and the other 13, $3000 dollars. Then, one of the girls, the 9-year-old, flew with her mom to Boston, where Griffen picked them up and took them to his home in Vermont.
It was there that he allegedly molested the girl. According to the indictment, “the daughter was directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity.”
Newsweek reports that, in addition to allegedly molesting the 9-year-old, Griffen also was involved in two other incidents with underage women and their mothers:
In April 2020, Griffin is alleged to have proposed a “virtual training session” in which he instructed a woman and her 14-year-old daughter to remove their clothes during a video chat.
In June 2020, he also allegedly suggested the purported mother of a 16-year-old daughter to come to his ski house “for sexual training involving the child.”
He was thus charged with three counts of ‘facility of interstate commerce to abuse underage girls.’ and was indicted by a grand jury. He now awaits trial, which has been tentatively scheduled for December 15th. He faces a minimum of 10 years in prison, with a maximum of life imprisonment, for each charge.
