Hot off the heels of releasing his hilarious, brilliant “We the People” song, one which attacks Fauci and Brandon for their policies, Kid Rock is striking another blow for freedom.
Now, in addition to going after the jab policies of the Covid tyrants in music, he’s going after them in reality too, pledging that he won’t perform in any venue that requires the jab.
That pledge came in the form of a four-minute video that he shared on his Facebook page. During the video, he made the pledge that he wouldn’t perform at any venue that requires the jab and that, if one decided to mandate it after booking him, he’d cancel the performance and give ticket-holders a full refund. In his words:
“There’s been a lot of talk about vaccine mandates and venues — people saying, ‘I’m not going to that venue because there’s a vaccine mandate, this, that and the other.
Trust me. We’ve done all our research on this and the consensus says that all this is going to be done – if there are any of these venues, I’m not aware of any – but if there are any, they’re going to be gone by the time we get to your city.
If they’re not, trust me, you don’t have to worry. You’ll be getting your money back, cause I won’t be showing up either.“
The pledge makes sense, as it certainly wouldn’t fit with the tone or message of the song for him to go along with mandates. He admitted as much in the video, saying “If you think I’m going to sit out there and sing ‘Don’t Tell Me How to Live’ and ‘We the People’ while people are holding up their f****** vaccine cards and wearing masks, that s*** ain’t happening.”
He also recognized that his decision would likely spark controversy and send the media into a frenzy, saying “There you go, liberal media..‘Kid Rock said this about mandates and he’s not showing up.’ F*** y’all.” No wonder he and Trump got along well; they certainly seem to feel the same way about the media!
Kid Rock isn’t the only performer who has pledged not to perform if the venue requires a vaccine. Joe Rogan, for instance, told Tim Dillon that he’d likely have to cancel a sold-out show in Canada because he’s not vaccinated and won’t get the jab, saying:
“My 4/20 show that’s sold-out in Vancouver, I don’t think that that’s happening. I don’t even think I can get into the country. I’m not vaccinated. I’m not gonna get vaccinated.”
He added “I have antibodies. It doesn’t make any sense. I don’t think I can go, and even if I do go, I don’t trust that Vancouver is not going to follow suit along with what Toronto did, where they cut capacity to 50 per cent.”
Performers bring huge amounts of revenue and attention to cities, especially big names like Kid Rock and Joe Rogan. If they start canceling performances based on mandates, that could be a catalyst for a major shift in how cities start handling vaccination policy, especially because such popular figures have legions of loyal followers that won’t hesitate to voice their displeasure.
