Many of us have had bad experiences when dealing with mask tyrants in public areas. The masks are uncomfortable, hard to remember, and make us look like a nation of banditos, so it should be understandable that some people might not want to wear them, especially when outside.
The petty tyrants that so love the Covid pandemic because of the power it has granted them and allowed them to flex without respite, however, either don’t get that or don’t care about it; they’d rather just keep screaming at, and sometimes even attacking, everyone who won’t wear a mask.
The most recent example of that was when a black man on an elevator was first harassed by two Karens (white women of the wine mom sort) for not wearing a mask. When he refused to put one on, they started assaulting him while yelling “black lives matter.” Watch that here, but be warned, it’s a lot to handle:

How should one deal with such people? What’s the proper way, now that high noon shoot-outs are frowned upon, to deal with someone (typically a Karen) screaming at you about your choice of face wear or lack thereof?
Well, Senator Rand Paul had some hilarious advice on what to do, advice he gave while on the night segment of Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
During that segment, Watters first played a hilarious, if frightening, compilation of crazy people screaming at unmasked people and then said, “These people clearly aren’t well. Large swaths of America are in a Covid cult.” Agreed.
Then, when asked by Watters how one can handle screaming Karens like that “in a respectful but normal way,” Senator Paul gave some hilarious advice.
First, he jokingly responded: “See, I would say bear spray but I’m afraid that will get me in trouble so I won’t say that.”
Good call, Senator. The Karens would certainly lose it over that more than they already have. But still, it would be great were it possible.
So, he gave a more serious answer too, saying “I think you should back away and say, ‘Lady, you are crazy, leave me the hell alone,’ but you should not confront her. You should not use violence. Back away and just say look, can you not find some other lunatic friends to hang around with?”
Senator Paul then also took the opportunity to elaborate on what the mask debate shows and why it’s important, saying:
“Really this is a difference between individualism and collectivism. I have an opinion, but I’m not wanting to enforce it on anybody. I’m not telling you that you can’t wear a mask. I’m just saying don’t make me wear a mask when it doesn’t work.
They don’t understand that, that we have a perspective, they have a perspective. But they want to force and ram their perspective down our throat through force. I mean, what kind of people are they? This has brought out the worst in people.”
Indeed it has, as shown by the many examples of mask Karens ranting and raving at strangers in public areas. If that’s not bringing out the worst in people, what would be?
Watch Rand here to hear his hilarious response:
Great conversation between @JesseBWatters and Sen. Rand Paul on mask mania:
“So really there’s no strong evidence that masks work … If anything the disease keeps going up when you have mask mandates. The masks really have had no influence on the pandemic.” pic.twitter.com/m4fpwydbiW

Despite his second response being certainly more actionable, I have to say that I like the bear spray response the best. It would certainly be by far the most gratifying of any response out there.
