YouTube recently slapped Dan Bongino for a suspension over a comment he made about masks, Kicking him off the video-sharing site he uses to earn a livelihood because it disagreed with him politically. As I reported at the time:
YouTube slapped him for saying that masks are “useless” in stopping the spread of the Chinese flu because its Covid-19 information policy specifically prohibits any content that denies the effectiveness of masks.
According to the Hill, which reported on the censorious action, the suspension is for a week and the demonetization is for at least 30 days.
But all wasn’t well for Dan after that weeklong suspension. He, furious about the censorship that was going on, decided to leave YouTube for Rumble, a free-speech-focused video-sharing site that he is an investor in. He said as much in a video he uploaded to his main YouTube channel, which, unlike the second channel was still unbanned.
YouTube didn’t take kindly to that. On Wednesday, it permanently banned the political commentator, kicking him as he headed out the door. Or, as Dan described it on his site, “YouTube attempted a poorly executed ‘you can’t break up with me if I break up with you first ‘approach, and decided to ban Dan from the platform he just left and was never going to post to again.”
A YouTube spokesperson told the Hill that his suspension took place because when “a channel receives a strike, it is against our Terms of Service to post content or use another channel to circumvent the suspension.” Apparently, he wasn’t allowed to use a channel without any current restrictions while another one was suspended. That’s hardly obvious, much less sensible.
Regardless, the tech titan is committed to censorship, so both of Bongino’s channels are now gone and he won’t be allowed to create a new one. All over a comment that Fauci made and he reported on.
Bongino remained upbeat throughout the ordeal, probably because he already has 2.06 million subscribers on Rumble, more than he ever had on YouTube. To show he wasn’t too broken up about the censorship-prone tech giant banning him, the Bongino Report tweeted out:

And Bongino isn’t the only conservative that’s done with YouTube, leaving it in the dust to stew in its own censorship while the market of people that still believes in free speech and individual liberty moves over to Rumble, which now has almost 30 million monthly viewers.
Senator Rand Paul is also done with YouTube for good, leaving over the platform’s anti-conservative censorship for the greener, freer pastures provided by Rumble.
Similarly, many other conservatives, especially those of the very online right, have grown more and more furious with the arbitrary and nonsensical YouTube rules and have ditched the once-popular platform for Rumble.
