What is Liz Cheney, the RINO representative from the great state of Wyoming? Many in the GOP would call her a Quisling, one willing to side with a bad-faith, evil-hearted enemy and join in persecuting its enemies for her own gain. At the very least, they’d say that she’s a RINO that seems to get a kick out of hammering Trump and siding with Democrats.
Rep. Klobuchar, the Minnesota Democrat that tried and failed to be president, has a different word for Liz Cheney, one that’s utterly absurd given what she’s been up to. That word is “patriot.”
That comment came when she appeared on “The View” to defend Cheney and her fellow RINO, Rep. Adam Kinzinger. Both of them were recently censured by the RNC for siding with the Democrats and against Trump, with the RNC resolution saying “Representatives Cheney and Kinzinger are participating in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”
Taking quite a different tack from the RNC, Klobuchar had this to say in defense of the RINO pair:
“I think this censure of these two Republicans who are simply doing their jobs, they’re investigating what happened that day so it never happens again, I think it is wrong. And I’m glad that some Republicans are standing up against it.
Certainly all Democrats are against it. You’ve got to be able to look at what happened historically to be able to move forward as a democracy and get the facts out, and that’s what they’re doing. To me, they’ve been patriots.”
Watch her defend the detestable duo here:

At least Klobuchar is a Democrat; thanks to that her defense of the two is comprehensible, as it drives Republicans apart. Bizarrely, RINO Mitch McConnell has stepped in to defend the duo too, saying:
“We all were here. We saw what happened. It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election, from one administration to the next. That’s what it was.
[…]The issue is whether or not the RNC should be, sort of, singling out members of our party who may have different views from the majority. That’s not the job of the RNC.”
McConnell should be rallying the GOP base, the collection of people that will actually vote in 2022 and drive the red wave, if it does still occur. Instead, he’s taking time to smear the most pro-Trump, deep red Republicans as violent insurrectionists and defending the RINOs that did seemingly everything in their power to bring about a GOP defeat in 2020.
Romney and Murkowski joined McConnell in that defense of Cheney and attack on the conservative base, once again putting their egos ahead of political victory.
If nothing else, the fact that they are in line with a far-left Democrat shows just why real conservatives need to get out and vote in both primaries and general elections: we don’t just need Republicans, we need real conservatives.
