Trump has, somewhat surprisingly, remained largely quiet on the issue of John Durham and his investigation into Russiagate and the hoax cooked up by a bunch of Democrat apparatchiks to try to bring down the Trump Presidency.
Now, however, in an interview with Kask Patel of the Epoch Times, Trump had a bit to say about the largely secret probe and what it might find as it digs deeper and deeper into the Russia hoax in the taste of what the Epoch Times plans to release on February 7th.
Speaking on the probe, Trump said “I hear there’s a lot coming.”
Then, continuing that thought, he said “We’re gonna see what happens. But what he’s doing is one of the most important jobs being done right now in America.”
Ostensibly, he had more to add and that will be released by the Epoch Times on the 7th; so we’ll have to wait to learn more, though the wait, like the wait for the probe itself to conclude, should hopefully be worth it.
Though this isn’t the first time Trump has spoken about Durham or his investigation, it is one of the first times he’s done so in a while and was a change of tone from the last time he mentioned Durham.
That was in March of 2021, when he, in frustration, said “Where’s Durham? Is he a living, breathing human being? Will there ever be a Durham report? I wish it were faster. It is really the crime of the century and changed everything, including the election.”
Now, however, his “I hear there’s a lot coming” comment implies that he might be more hopeful now than he was a year ago, or perhaps just less worried about the timing now that the election controversy isn’t as relevant.
Further, while little has leaked out about the Durham Investigation, one of the few things going on in DC that has managed to stay secretive, a bit more than usual has dribbled out recently.
That’s because Durham is finally getting to the big fish, including someone that worked for the Clinton Campaign and could, potentially, definitively tie it to the creation and promulgation of the Russia hoax. Reporting on that, the Washington Examiner noted:
Special counsel John Durham told a federal court that he is scrutinizing members of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign as part of his criminal inquiry into the origins and conduct of the Trump-Russia investigation.
Durham’s team asked a judge to “inquire into a potential conflict of interest” related to the lawyers for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s main anti-Trump dossier source, noting that a separate lawyer at their firm “is currently representing the 2016 ‘Hillary for America’ presidential campaign, as well as multiple former employees of that campaign, in matters before the Special Counsel.”
So, perhaps the “a lot coming” comment is a hint that Durham’s slow but steady digging is finally paying off and Clinton and her ilk will be held accountable for the vicious way in which they slandered President Trump.
