The Covid policies pushed by blue state governors, leftist celebrities, and incompetent bureaucrats have grown increasingly unpopular as the policies have dragged on for month after month, year after year.
Thanks to those policies, businesses were closed lives ruined, schools moved online indefinitely, and almost everyone was, at one point or another, forced to wear the hated, uncomfortable, in many cases not super effective masks.
Now, however, those policies are finally ending. The masks have been exposed in the press, even the mainstream press, the lockdowns have finally come to an end in the sane states, and schools are finally getting back to in-person learning (though, given the leftist tilt of almost all the teachers, that’s hardly a good thing overall).
So, naturally, the leftists, the same ones that pushed all those nonsense, horrid policies in the first place, are the ones trying to take credit for ending them.
Like a thug who kidnapped someone later taking them to the police station and trying to take credit for rescuing them, the leftists held their populaces under the iron vise of tyranny for two years and now are expecting laurel branches and triumphs because they finally are ending the evil policies.
Yet worse, they’re claiming to be the ones who wanted to get rid of the policies the whole time, blaming Trump for their existence in the first place! It’s absurd. The policies are obviously ending because of the hard work of patriots and protesters, not thanks to the likes of Gretchen Whitmer.
Well, Greg Gutfeld, the FNC host, isn’t going to let them get away with it. He ridiculed the notion that they should be praised for ending the policies in a recent segment. Watch him do so here:

In the segment, Gutfeld quotes two leftists who are trying to help the left take credit for the end of Covid policies.
The first is Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who said “The omicron variant is in retreat, and that’s not by accident. That’s because under President Biden’s leadership, a public health infrastructure was put into place to ensure that we can do everything possible to crush the virus.”
The second is Rep. Sean Maloney, who said “Whether there should be blanket mandates for businesses and other public areas is a step that here in New York, we feel comfortable taking because of the success of the president’s policies.”
Gutfeld then eviscerates them, saying:
Nice try. You see what’s happening. As the pandemic comes to a close, they want credit for closing it.
It’s like when you help push a car that’s out of gas, and there’s always one guy who’s just pretending to grunt. That’s this administration. All noise, no pushing.
Gutfeld is right. They’re just pretending. It’s patriots, namely anti-lockdown protesters and red state governors, that we should be thanking for the end to the nonsense, for now at least. The Democrats are the ones to blame, not to thank.
