Leftie Robert Renier Leads Total Lib Meltdown Over Musk’s Twitter Purchase

Elon Musk, when his massive, $44 billion purchase of Twitter was announced, said that he was planning on defending free speech on the platform, saying: “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”

Predictably, that defense of as simple and traditionally American a talking point as freedom of speech sent the anti-American, anti-freedom left into full meltdown mode, with certain blue-checks on Twitter leading the charge of screaming about…their enemies no longer being censored.

But one among them took the cake of losing it on Twitter. That would be leftist actor and director Rob Reiner, who melted down about Musk’s Twitter purchase in an embarrassingly bad tweet, saying:

Now that Elon Musk is buying Twitter, the question for all of us is: Will he allow a Criminal who used this platform to lie and spread disinformation to try to overthrow the US Government to return and continue his Criminal activity? And if he does, how do we combat it?

That was dumb, so it immediately drew the attention of conservatives on Twitter, emboldened by Elon’s purchase, who tore into Reiner for the ridiculous tweet. Among them was brilliant conservative reporter and commentator Kyle Becker, who shut up Reiner with a series of questions saying:

1. Name the crime Trump committed
2. Explain how J6 was an attempt to ‘overthrow the government’
3. Describe how J6 would have led to a transfer of power
4. Why did Capitol Police let protesters in building?
5. Dems contested elections 3 times since 2000… are they traitors too?

No response from Reiner yet. He must be busy wailing and rending his garments at the idea that his political enemies will be allowed to speak.

In any case, it wasn’t just Reiner that melted down about the situation, though his was one of the funniest and most ridiculous. Racial activist Shaun King did so too, attacking Elon for saying that speech allowed under the law should be allowed on Twitter, saying:

This is EXACTLY what we expected.

He intends to allow hate speech and white supremacy, which are legal in the United States, on the platform.

He intends to allow misinformation and disinformation, which are legal, on the platform.

He also attacked Elon Musk’s Tesla for being racist, saying “Elon Musk created a work environment that Black employees compared to JIM CROW. It’s that bad.

Sure he did. And everyone I don’t like is a racist too. And that wasn’t all. King also attacked Musk’s African heritage, saying:

At its root, [Elon Musk] wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right,” he said. “It’s about white power.”

“The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech.”

Does attacking people based on their ethnicity not fall under the sort of comment that King would like to see banned?

In any case, the leftist meltdown was amazing, and the fact that it’s continuing is even funnier. Log on and check out what the crazies are saying!
