Tim Scott, being a conservative rather than a RINO, decided to vote against confirming Biden’s far-left SCOTUS nominee, now-Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson. He, explaining that decision at the beginning of the week, said:
“The historic nature of Judge Jackson’s nomination reinforces the progress our country has made. However, ideology must be the determining factor—not identity—when considering such an important lifetime appointment. It is clear that Judge Jackson’s judicial philosophy and positions on the defining issues of our time make her the wrong choice for the Supreme Court. From leaving the door open on court packing to her multiple overturned opinions, I cannot support a nominee with her record of judicial activism. I remain disappointed that President Biden missed the opportunity to unite the country with a mainstream nominee that could have received resounding bipartisan support. For all these reasons, I will be voting no on Judge Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court.”
It’s a very reasonable statement, one that explains the issues quite well and is very articulate when it comes to giving reasons why he was against Kentanji.
Well, MSNBC host Joy Reid didn’t like that and didn’t care a bit about how reasonable or well-worded Senator Scott’s statement was. So, in a recent tweet, she went off on Senator Scott’s decision, saying:
All accuracy here. Not surprised by anything @SenatorTimScott does. He let @LindseyGrahamSC & the sheriffs dog-walk him and destroy police reform after pretending to work on it and now he’ll go along with Lindsey’s barking-dog racism against Judge Jackson because: he’s Tim Scott.
Lindsey said it himself: it’s fine to be Black and have ambitions to rise in Lindsey’s South Carolina, as long as you’re conservative enough — meaning as long as you do and think what Lindsey and his clan tell you to.
Republicans have this very interesting idea about “freedom” — it generally means white Christian men are free to live and act like American czars — doing whatever destructive stuff they please with no consequences; while everyone else must come to heel. And STFU whist doing so.

It was a deranged, obviously incorrect statement, one meant to slander and smear Republicans rather than say anything useful or actually make a point beyond “Republicans are evil.” Further, the whole part about Sen. Scott being Lindsey Graham’s dog is obviously horrible.
So, Senator Scott fired back during an excellent monologue when he appeared on Fox and Friends, saying:
“What is so offensive about what Joy is saying is that a black man cannot think for himself, that I have to follow somebody else. That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
“It reinforces the liberal elites’ approach to minorities who will not fall in line and do what they tell us to do. There are millions of Americans who happen to be black, who want to think for themselves, who will think for themselves. But the power of the liberal elite wants to attack us like vicious dogs because they do not want anyone standing up opposed to what they are doing, leading our country in the wrong direction.
“It is vile, it is offensive, and we should stop allowing the liberal media to push these stories by their hosts that want one thing and one thing only: progressive, liberal policies that make it harder for African-Americans — not easier.”
Watch him here:
It was a spot-on response, one that every liberal needs to listen to (though we know they obviously won’t).
