Want yet another reason to vote for the Donald if he runs in 2024? Well, now you have what might be the best reason of all: Dr. Tony Fauci, the Covid tyrant himself, has pledged to retire if Trump is re-elected. Watch Fauci make that announcement here:
As you can hear in the video, Jim Acosta asks Fauci what he would do if Trump is re-elected in 2024, saying:
“If Trump were to return to the White House as President, and COVID was still a threat or there was some other public health emergency, would you have confidence in his ability to deal with a pandemic of this nature? Would you want to stay on at your post?”
Fauci began by saying “Well, no to the second question,” meaning that he would not stay on for a Trump presidency but would rather retire than work for the bad orange man.
Fauci then continued by denigrating the Trump presidency and its response to Covid, saying “If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t optimal. History will speak for itself about that.”
It’s no real surprise that Fauci has pledged to quit if Trump is re-elected by the American electorate and rolls back into office. There’s no love lost between the two, with Trump criticizing Fauci too from time to time.
For example, Trump, speaking in North Carolina last summer, ripped into Fauci, saying that he’s “not a great doctor but a great promoter” with all of his many television appearances and that “he’s been wrong on almost every issue and he was wrong on Wuhan and the lab also.”
During that rally Trump also slammed the lab coat-wearing tyrant for his flip-flopping, saying:
“Fauci said at the beginning, ‘no masks.’ Remember that? Then he became a radical masker. Get three, four. Get a pair of goggles, ideally. Wear them for another five or six years”
Trump made some of the same points in another attack on Fauci and Dr. Birx a few months before that, saying:
“Based on their interviews, I felt it was time to speak up about Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, two self-promoters trying to reinvent history to cover for their bad instincts and faulty recommendations, which I fortunately almost always overturned. They had bad policy decisions that would have left our country open to China and others, closed to reopening our economy, and years away from an approved vaccine — putting millions of lives at risk.”
While Fauci now is claiming that he’ll quit if Trump’s re-elected, one of the few statements of his that he probably won’t flip flop on, the real surprise is that Trump never fired Fauci, particularly given how hated he was by the Trump base. Somehow, the gravel-voiced tyrant held on to his cushy government position despite the ire of the base.
But, now we know how to get him out of his position; just vote for Trump in 2024!
