To be the Democrat nominee in 2024 instead of Slow Joe, all Kamala would have to do is be something other than completely terrible. She checks two boxes important to the Democrats, she’s the “diversity” candidate and she’s not senile, unlike Joe.
Unfortunately for her, she’s just not likeable and so is somehow even more disliked than the president who brought Soviet-style shortages, Weimar-style inflation, and French-style military humiliation to America in the space of a year. Her recent attempt at speaking, a veritable word salad, shows why.
Attempting to speak at the Association of Southeast Nations at the State Department in Washington last Friday, Kamala went ahead and tried to speak about “working together” and, as is normal when she obviously hasn’t prepared and latches onto a phrase, just kept repeating it for about 30 seconds. Watch that embarrassing attempt at speaking here:
Kamala: “We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues…and to work together as we continue to work, operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together…We will work on this together”pic.twitter.com/wrklQopoMQ

And here’s the White House transcript of that embarrassing speech attempt, a word salad in which she stuck to what must be her one favorite phrase:
I often note and I’ve talked with many of you about our shared belief that our world is increasingly more interconnected and interdependent.
That is especially true when it comes to the climate crisis, which is why we will work together and continue to work together to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work, operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements that we will convene to work together on to galvanize global action.
With that, I thank you all. This is a matter of urgent priority for all of us. And I know we will work on this together.
As usual, Twitter quickly found the clip and started making fun of her, as you can see in these examples:
#KamalaHarris is as eloquent as a 3 year old who learned a few words and just started stringing them together. #WordSaladKamala

This isn’t the first time Kamala has gone on one of her meandering word salad speeches, though it might be the worst. In fact, she’s done the same thing twice recently.
At one point, she tried speaking about Jamaica, saying:
“For Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic…we will assist Jamaica in Covid recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential.”
In another, she attempted to speak about space and obviously hadn’t prepared, sounding like a 3rd grader that only read the back cover of a book and then stood up to do a report on it:
I think everyone here recognizes how extraordinary space is. Whether it is satellites that orbit the Earth, humans that land on the Moon, or telescopes that peer into the furthest reaches of the universe, space is exciting. It spurs our imaginations, and it forces us to ask big questions. Space — it affects us all, and it connects us all.
There are so many opportunities in space for our country and for all of humanity — from science, to commerce, to national security.
All of you on this base know the importance of the space systems that you use and operate and how important they are for our national security.
Our space capabilities provide for global awareness, global connectivity, and global navigation.
And, of course, we also know the threats we face in space.
This is why our administration has proposed the largest single increase in our military space capability in our nation’s history.
Kamala certainly knows how to find a phrase and keep using it, though it seems doubtful that she knows what she’s talking about in any of these speeches.
