How far off the ledge of leftie looniness has Slow Joe and the rest of the Team Biden disaster gone? Far enough over it that even CNN is fact-checking him and arguing that the White House’s claims simply aren’t true. It must have been a particularly cold day in hell.
You see, Team Biden recently posted this utterly absurd claim on Twitter, arguing that it had been the administration that got the vaccine to Americans:
When President Biden took office, millions were unemployed and there was no vaccine available.
In the last 15 months, the economy has created 8.3M jobs and the unemployment rate stands at 3.6% — the fastest decline in unemployment to start a President’s term ever recorded.

That claim was widely derided on Twitter, as President Trump and his administration got millions of doses of the vaccines to Americans before he had to leave the White House, something that Team Biden is seemingly pretending didn’t happen. Perhaps the Disinformation Board can spend its first days dealing with this tweet.
In any case, the tweet was so ridiculous that even CNN had to call it out as an obviously claim, hammering Fauci on the issue as he did his usual and tried to dodge a difficult question. Watch that here:
JAKE TAPPER: “Why is the White House politicizing the pandemic by tweeting out that there was no vaccine available until Joe Biden became president? It’s not true.”
FAUCI: “I just can’t explain it.” pic.twitter.com/9oFe9lZ6OL

As you can hear in the video, it starts with a shockingly confrontational Jake Tapper hitting Fauci on the issue, saying:
“It’s amazing this White House tweet is still up. As you know, that’s not true. There were vaccines available, they may not have been widely available, but it was available.
CNN fact checker Daniel Dale points out more than 3 million Americans had been fully vaccinated, more than 18 million had at least one shot by Inauguration Day. I think President Biden had two shots by then.
You’re the president’s chief medical advisor, why is the White House politicizing the pandemic by tweeting out that there was no vaccine available until Joe Biden became president? It’s not true.”
Now that’s shocking stuff from CNN, almost as wild as inveterate leftist Jeff Bezos turning on Biden over the inflation issue in a recent tweet.
Fauci, as usual, had no answer when confronted with a direct question. Responding weakly, he said:
“Jake, I’m sorry I can’t explain every tweet that comes out.
“From pure accuracy, that’s not a correct statement. But, I mean, it just went out, I’m sorry. There’s nothing I can do about that, Jake.”
The question wasn’t what Fauci could do about it, it was why Team Biden was lying about the pandemic and vaccine, something Fauci probably knows given his role. But, of course, he wouldn’t answer.
Whether you love the jab, hate it, or find yourself somewhere in the middle, what’s true is that Trump and his team got millions of doses of the jab to Americans before Biden took over. That’s a fact, a fact so real that even CNN couldn’t ignore it. But don’t wait with bated breath for Big Tech to hold Team Biden accountable for lying: that seems even more unlikely.
