FNC host Brett Baier might soon sprout a horn from his nose, as he just exposed himself as a massive RINO and attacked Trump over January 6th, siding with already discredited witness Cassidy Hutchinson in a recent segment of his show.
Speaking about Hutchinson’s testimony, Baier first recited Hutchinson’s main (and already discredited) allegation about Trump, which is that he tried to take the presidential limo to the Capitol during the protest, then went on to describe that testimony as “stunning” and “compelling”. In Baier’s words:
“Inside the limo saying he wanted to go up to Capitol Hill. They said you have to go to the White House. According to her testimony, he said, I’m the f-ing president. Take me there, and goes to grab at him. This testimony is, first of all, stunning because we haven’t heard this. Two, it is compelling because of her proximity to power all of these people directly having conversations with her.”
Continuing, Baier went on to trot out more allegations about Trump and January 6th that Hutchinson brought up, clearly pushing her line rather than defending the most conservative president since Reagan. Again in his words:
“The testimony the president was really concerned about the crowd, that they were not allowed in through the magnetometers, he wanted the crowd to be bigger, more robust.
“She quotes him as saying, and she was there in the back room behind the stage, ‘I don’t f-ing care that they have weapons, they are not here to hurt me, take the f-ing mags away, let me, people, in. They can march to the Capitol from here, let the people in, take the f-ing mags away.’
“Listen, all of this is firsthand, so it’s from her listening to it. That’s why it’s so compelling, and that’s perhaps why we have this hearing that popped out of nowhere.”
Trump skewered that claim of Hutchinson’s that Baier echoed, ripping it apart on Truth Social by pointing out the obvious, which is that none of those supposed guns were seen. In his words:
Never complained about the crowd, it was massive. I didn’t want or request that we make room for people with guns to watch my speech. Who would ever want that? Not me! Besides, there were no guns found or brought into the Capitol Building…So where were all of these guns? But sadly, a gun was used on Ashli Babbitt, with no price to pay against the person who used it!
In any case, Baier continued, suggesting that Hutchinson’s testimony would “move the ball” for the committee, saying:
“She had another, obviously, another session behind the scenes with the committee they are playing the sound bites from and realized the power of this testimony. Perhaps politically, in the wake of Roe v. Wade and everything else to keep January 6 on the front burner.
“Bottom line, the testimony is stunning, and we are going to likely hear from the former president and his reaction to all of this, in one way or another. But you also have other officials, Pat Cipollone, former White House counsel. You have others who are weighing in here, behind the scenes through her testimony. Listen, I think it does move the ball in this hearing.”
Baier recently clashed with the former president and his allies on separate issues too, getting in a spat with Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake over a Washington Post article that she contends is completely fake and his unwillingness to address claims about 2020.
