Senator John Kennedy appeared on Fox News and spoke with host Jesse Watters on Tuesday night, using that appearance to tear into everything that’s going so wrong in Biden’s America and take a humor-laced wrecking ball to the state of prices, particularly gas prices, in Biden’s America.
Introducing his takedown of Slow Joe Biden’s America, Sen. Kennedy said “This is what President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’ Washington, D.C. has given the American people.” He then launched into his attack on Team Biden.
First, he attacked the seemingly incompetent Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, for her past opinions on inflation and what has been done (or, more accurately, not been done) to combat it, saying:
“Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen — who was also captain of ‘Team Transitory Inflation’ — announced she’s really sorry but inflation’s not gonna be transitory, it’s gonna be with us for a long while. In other words, she does not have a solution to inflation but she really admires the problem — in other words, get used to it.”
He then tore into Biden for campaigning “for more economic chaos” and increasing an already painfully large welfare state, saying:
“Meanwhile her boss, President Biden, continues to campaign for more economic chaos by trying to convince us in Congress to raise taxes by $3.5 trillion by expanding an already generous welfare state and by turning cops into social workers.“
He then hit Biden on what’s probably the most financially painful aspect of Biden’s presidency, and thus the one that carries the most weight with average Americans, saying:
“Meanwhile, I don’t know about where you live, Jesse, but in my state, the price of gas is so high that it would be cheaper to buy cocaine and just run everywhere.”
Perhaps Hunter Biden could help us arrange a large scale study on the efficacy of Senator Kennedy’s idea for reducing transportation costs. He’s probably not too far off the mark, despite it obviously being a joke.
But that wasn’t the end of it. The conservative firebrand then torched Vice President Harris, arguably the most vapid and laughable of the Biden Administration. Hitting her hard for her recent call for American companies to invest in failing countries in South and Central America rather than in America, he said:
“In the middle of all this murk and mayhem, here comes Vice President Harris. She told us today that she has had an epiphany, she has discovered the root cause of illegal immigration and what we should do about it: she wants American companies to invest $3 billion — not in America — but in Central American countries, many of which hate us.”
And that wasn’t the end of it. He continued his attack on the vapid veep a bit longer, saying:
“I will wait a moment while you stop laughing. She really said that. If the Vice President were here right now, I would say respectfully: ‘Madam Vice President, there is no force in history, none, more powerful that self-delusion. The root cause of illegal immigration is that people are coming into our country illegally, and people are coming into our country illegally because you and President Biden are letting them in. Enforce the law. Do what we were doing the day before you took office.‘”
And the result of all those failures, from the Treasury to the ramblings of a VP that obviously has no idea what’s going on? That Biden is very unpopular. Or, as Senator Kennedy put it, “President Biden is about as popular right now as a sinkhole.”
