Who knows why, but for some reason, Texas Senator John Cornyn decided to play turncoat and join up with the Democrats in the Senate to wrangle the RINOs and softies on the right to get new gun control laws passed, laws that do nothing for the right but will rather just hand yet more power to the left.
Completely unsurprisingly, Senator Cornyn was “viciously booed” when he spoke at the Republican Party of Texas Convention, the crowd of conservatives obviously not on board with his idea of surrendering their rights and signing on to red flag laws so that leftists feel safer.
Watch the video of that here:
“US Sen John Cornyn gets viciously booed during much of his speech here at the Republican Party of Texas Convention. Here’s his closing remarks and the cascade of boos.”

As can be heard in the video, Cornyn, trying to motivate a crowd that was obviously not a fan of his, said:
“So let’s take out country back, starting with Congress in November. Thank you, God bless you, and may God continue to bless our great state of Texas.”
Instead of responding with cheers or enthusiasm for the RINO and the useless brand of GOP politics where Republicans back down on every issue of note and get nothing in return, the crowd responded with a cascade of booing.
Further, according to Axios’ Jonathan Swan, the booing was even worse than the video makes it appear. As he put it on Twitter:
From a source in the room: “The video doesn’t do it justice. It was really bad.” As we reported last night, there’s a growing conservative backlash against Cornyn.
That is in line with what Axios reported; according to that outlet, while RINO Mitch McConnell is on board with Cornyn’s gun control push, the more conservative members of the party are “uneasy about the negotiations”.
Hawley, for example, told Axios that he is “not a big fan of the framework as it’s been announced … I’m tracking what’s been reported in the press. I understand the framework is shifting. But you know, I’m not a huge fan of it.”
Another, anonymous Republican told Axios “There’s considerable unhappiness in the conference that we seem to be approaching a bill that will unite all the Democrats and divide the Republicans.”
So while Cornyn might want to push red flag laws on America, most of the rest of the Republican Senators want nothing to do with it, and their constituents have even less interest in pursuing gun control measures.
What’s more, it wasn’t just then that he was booed by the upset, pro-firearm rights crowd,
Rather, it appears that he was booed throughout his speech, with the patriots voicing their dissent making it almost impossible for anyone to even hear the RINO, as can be watched and heard here:

Perhaps the vast outpouring of displeasure will teach the RINO senator a lesson and he’ll think twice before collaborating with the Democrats to push gun control again.
