President Biden, in a recent speech meant to prove how terrible it is that red states are trying to limit access to abortions, shared the sad story of a ten-year-old girl that was impregnated and had to travel across state lines to get an abortion, saying:
“Ten years old. Raped, six weeks pregnant. Already traumatized. Was forced to travel to another state. Imagine being that little girl.”
That would be horrible, but the abortion part of it isn’t the worst part: shouldn’t we be more concerned that someone was sexually assaulting a little girl and got her pregnant in the first place? Shouldn’t the government be focusing on holding that criminal to account rather than using the sad story to push for more abortions?
Well, turns out that there might be a reason for Biden’s seeming insouciance on that topic other than that he just didn’t know who the man that committed the horrific crime is. That potential other reason is that the man who allegedly committed the horrific crime and sexually abused/assaulted the young girl is an illegal immigrant.
Reporting on that, the Columbus Dispatch reported that:
A Columbus man has been charged with impregnating a 10-year-old Ohio girl, whose travel to Indiana to seek an abortion led to international attention following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade and activation of Ohio’s abortion law.
Gerson Fuentes, 27, whose last known address was an apartment on Columbus’ Northwest Side, was arrested Tuesday after police say he confessed to raping the child on at least two occasions. He’s since been charged with rape, a felony of the first degree in Ohio.
That illegal immigrant is being held in jail on a $2 million bond, so at least he hasn’t been set free to continue assaulting people as he might have been in a blue state.
Fox News, reporting on why the case might be horrific enough that even the soft-on-crime Biden Administration, an administration that is particularly soft on the crime of illegal immigration, has to take action, said:
The Biden administration has narrowed ICE enforcement priorities to three categories: public safety threats, national security threats and recent border crossers. While a court order recently stopped the administration from implementing the memo narrowing the priorities, a rape charge would almost certainly make an illegal immigrant fit into the category of a public safety threat.
Team Biden, for its part, has so far stuck to using the story as one with which to hammer the right on the topic of abortion access and claiming that it needs to be easier to get an abortion, rather than as a warning about the dangers of importing all of the third world and letting it roam our country without any oversight.
Millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the border under the Biden Administration: how many other such horrific, sickening crimes have happened because of that open border?
