Thanks to whatever general malaise is plaguing America, socialism is making something of a comeback in America, with avowedly socialist Democrats winning races and showing how far to the left some of the American population is.
For example, a socialist candidate recently won a New York City primary, meaning, thanks to the hold her party has on that part of the city, that she’s likely to be a state senator. So what used to be the city that stood for capitalism is now home to the malignant virus of socialism.
She, cheering her own victory in a video released after she found out that she had won, said “Today we really proved that socialism wins, we are not going anywhere, and we will not stop until we see a socialist slate across this city.”
Similarly, those BLM goons that described themselves as “trained Marxists” controlled much of the public discussion for months on end, AOC and her coterie of commie kooks remain in power, Bernie Sanders came close to clinching the Democrat nomination and remains a senator, and many young Americans seem more radical than ever.
Well, a survivor of Mao’s horrific Cultural Revolution, a shockingly evil and horrible event in which millions upon millions of Chinese were killed by starvation and roaming gangs of communist ideologues, has a message for those supporters of socialism in America: they have no idea what they’re asking for, no idea what the ideology they profess to love is really about.
She, speaking to Fox News Channel about her story and the horrors of socialism that modern, wealthy socialist don’t understand, said:
“Live in an authoritarian state like that. I just want to say it’s so ironic, 36 years ago I ran away from socialism. When I left China, come to this great country for freedom. Today so many Americans abandoning freedom. They have no idea what socialism is about.
“I lived under Mao’s socialism. When the government controls everything, makes all the decisions, big and small. They decide how much grain, meat, cooking oil I could have. What I should learn in school, where I should live and what job I should have and how I should think. In the socialist society I lived under, there’s no choices, there are no freedom. And that’s what people do not know.
“Socialism becomes such a diluted word, and it’s intentional. I can tell you China is a socialist country, Cuba is a socialist country and so is North Korea. They are socialist country run by communist parties. And what’s the difference? What the difference between socialism and communism? Not much. Socialism is the initial stage.”
Indeed. So true, with the only possible correction being the shocking, blood-curdling fact that people do know there is no freedom under socialism and are pushing for it regardless, desiring control more than liberty or freedom.
