The left is back to clutching its pearls, howling at the moon, and saying Republicans are some variation of “literally Hitler” now that the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act has given them a bit of their mojo back and put a tad of pep back in their step.
One such leftist was MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross who, in a recent segment of her program, said that “civil war is already here” because…Fox News Channel, OAN, and Newsmax are “propaganda networks” (if so, then what is MSNBC?) and Republicans have been saying mean things on social media.
Yes, really, that’s all the evidence she offered for saying that “civil war is already here,” as you can read below, with her first offering her evidence that the “train has left the station”:
“And I agree with you, but it’s not really rhetoric you can deal with. You have millions of people tuning into a propaganda network every night. And then, as if that were not bad enough, that’s an extremist network itself, you have these fringe pop-up outlets from OAN to Newsmax, then you have the social media component.
“That train has left the station. There is no, ‘Let’s deal with the rhetoric.’ At this point, I do think we have to have serious conversations around preparing for actual violence.”
So, in Tiffany’s viewpoint, it’s civil war time because people watch Tucker and say mean things online, particularly on social media, which is what she then got to, saying:
“People keep saying a civil war is coming. I would say a civil war is here. And I don’t mean to be hyperbolic.
“We can look at what has happened just in the past week alone since all this has happened. We’ve had two people try to declare war with FBI field offices. I don’t think, at this point, we’re going to pack up our bags and go home and sing kumbaya. So, from a law enforcement angle, what would you recommend the infrastructure of the country do? Because not everybody has the security of Capitol Hill.”
Watch her here:
As a reminder, the woman now clutching her pearls about the state of discourse in America and Americans not being united anymore is the same MSNBC hack who, after the infamous Will Smith Chris Rock slap, declared that it was “ridiculous” to have to listen to the opinions of white people, saying:
“If we went to a white person’s home and it was their family dinner, and we were sitting there at the table, and the mother hauled off and slapped the father and everybody at that table has an opinion, the sister is like, ‘mom, you always do this,’ and the brother is, like, ‘I can’t believe you guys are doing this.’ And dad is like, ‘you’re terrible.’ If I weigh in as the guest in this home and I say, yeah, you guys are terrible. Everybody is like ‘I’m sorry, when did you get an opinion? This is our family table.’ That’s what this moment felt like for many of us.
And there’s a nuance to what happened that we should get into. Michael, I personally believe this was a moment that we saw Will Smith behave like a bully. I know a lot of people have strong opinions about this. I thought the slap itself was completely uncalled for and I want to be really clear while we’re talking about family talk, I think it is utterly ridiculous to center this conversation in the opinions of white folks. This is just about what happened there. The jumping-off point should not be, oh, but what might the white people think about it. It’s just this moment between those two men. I thought it was uncalled for.”
Since when is the Oscars a family dinner for all black people and no white people? Aren’t these people normally complaining that the Oscars are “too white”?
In any case, it shows the sort of person Tiffany Cross is and shines a new light on her civil war talk. She doesn’t want unity and peace, she’s just a leftist full of hate for whites and conservatives.
