Oh No: Now A Woke Hollywood Director Wants to Ruin Bond, Make Him “More Sensitive”

Of all the characters in film that the left could ruin, perhaps it makes sense that the left wants to attack James Bond. Whereas the West generally has become enervated and woke as it has lost its masculinity and attacked traditional values, Bond has stayed mostly the same. He’s a suave, masculine killer. He does what he wants, gets what he wants, and dresses well while doing it. Plus he sips a martini instead of a seltzer.

And so he’s the antithesis of the modern Western man. He’s well dressed and groomed rather than being an obese guy covered in ugly tattoos and piercings while wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. He’s a man of action rather than a talker afraid of his own shadow. He’s unquestionably masculine and interested in beautiful women, not “beautiful at any size” women.

Well, predictably, the left wants to ruin that by turning Bond from a remnant of the West’s better days to some sniveling, sensitive, modern man.

How so? By making Bond “more sensitive.” Yes, the killer known for being able to pick up any woman and kill any supervillain, along with all his henchmen, is going to be sensitive. Maybe he’ll wear an Apple Watch rather than an Omega, carry a rape whistle rather than a Walther.

And, presumably, he’s not going to pick up and discard bombshell beauties at will anymore. Maybe he’ll compliment their stances on abortion and then make sure to get them a cab home after they have one drink to make sure they “feel safe.”

News on that comes from The Telegraph, a British paper, which reported that:

The next James Bond films will have bigger roles for women and a more sensitive 007, according to the producers, who said “Bond is evolving just as men are evolving”.

Barbara Broccoli said that the next actor to take the role will continue the work of Daniel Craig, who “cracked Bond open emotionally”.

Craig’s last film, No Time To Die, humanised Bond by making him a devoted family man. It also featured meatier roles for female characters, including Lashana Lynch as a fellow secret agent.

Asked by Variety magazine if those qualities would continue in the next film, Broccoli agreed. “It’s an evolution. Bond is evolving just as men are evolving. I don’t know who’s evolving at a faster pace,” she said.

So say goodbye to the real James Bond, the one that drinks a dozen martinis a day, plays high stakes poker in ritzy casinos across Europe, and is as good with a pickup line and glance as he is with his Walther PPK. Instead of that masculine, tuxedo-clad, indomitable spirit, we’ll get some guy who just says “yes, honey” as his nagging wife rants at him. Wonderful.

While it’s still possible that all those rumors of a black, female James Bond aren’t going to come true. Then again, maybe they are. At this point, we just don’t know whether Bond will actually look like a suave English gentleman and spy or if he’ll look like…something else.

But what we do know is that the wokies creating the next slew of Bond films, films that won’t include Daniel Craig because he’s out after the most recent “No Time to Die” (spoiler alert: it was time to die), are getting ready to ruin the character no matter who plays it.

Bond could be a positive model, an example of untrammeled masculinity and a winning attitude, of duty to country and the lengths we must go to maintain civilization. But the wokies don’t care. So now James Bond is a feminist whose wife wears the pants. Maybe Spectre will win because it was his turn to change his wife’s son’s diapers.
