Famous Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling claimed that because of her enormous wealth, she is not concerned about losing readers.
Rowling responded to a Twitter user who attacked her on Thursday by mentioning her success from the Harry Potter series. Rowling has previously come under fire for comments that many consider to be anti-trans.
A person tweeted the author saying: “How do you sleep at night knowing you’ve lost a whole audience from buying your books?” Without skipping a beat, Rowling shot back that she has zero problems sleeping at night.
“I read my most recent royalty cheques and find the pain goes away pretty quickly,” she said in the most perfect comeback. Check the tweet out below:

The public supported Rowling’s comeback. Author Matthew Loop answered, “JK Savage.”

Many others sprang to Rowling’s defense in the comments, citing how the Harry Potter books had an influence on them, their kids, or their pupils as young readers.
“I was a school governor in the mid 2000’s getting boys to read was a MASSIVE pedagogical issue to which there was no solution and then along came the wonderful @jk_rowling,” another user tweeted. “It is hard to exaggerate that effect.”
I've said it before and it needs saying again

According to New York Post who received this information from Business Insider, Rowling’s net worth might range from $650 million to $1.2 billion. So I bet she sleeps pretty soundly knowing that she and her family are well taken care of by her true fans.
