Robert Davi has been a mainstay in Hollywood movies for decades. He is best known for his roles in “The Goonies,” “Die Hard,” and “License to Kill,” where he played the bad guy Franz Sanchez. As the head of “My Son Hunter,” he has made his third appearance as a director.
Davi is now talking about how the movie was made and how it and he have both been criticized since it came out.
Robert Davi’s movie about the crime family occupying the White House and destroying America is and ingenious combination of fact, fiction, satire, tragedy, comedy and drama. The acting is uniformly brilliant.

On the TV show “Just the News, Not the Noise,” Davi talked about “the frustration that I had watching this unfold and the American people not getting a chance at seeing what was happening. My feeling was it has to be told — I don’t care if I get canceled.”
“The important thing for me was telling the story in a humanistic way,” Davi said. “I wanted the audience to be able to be engaged in the emotional life of Hunter Biden — that addiction is a sickness.”
“Politics is downstream from culture,” Davi added. “And one of my frustrations with the conservative movement is not understanding culture enough and using it enough.”
Davi and the other people who worked on “My Son Hunter” have been in the news to help the movie do well. The director’s comments seemed to be in every conservative news source.
During a Breitbart roundtable, he said, “It’s like a great middle finger to Big Tech and the establishment who tried to bury the story, and the media and Hollywood because they’re not forthcoming in anything.”
In an interview with Newsmax, Davi answered the idea that there is too much guesswork in the movie: A lot of the story was based on research done by the screenwriter [Brian Godawa], and Davi added to it after reading [Hunter Biden’s memoir] “Beautiful Things,” in which he describes in detail how he felt in his business and personal life.

When Joe tells Hunter about his art, it’s one of the few times we let our imaginations run wild. There’s a reason we started with “This is not a true story…except for all the facts.”
Breitbart was right to brag about their success when he said, “My Son Hunter has hit a 90 percent positive audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, signaling an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences even as left-wing film critics continue to trash the movie.”
