Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, stated on Friday that if Apple and Google decide to remove Twitter from their app stores, which would be extremely detrimental to the social media firm, he will begin to produce smartphones.
Elon Musk responded to Liz Wheeler’s tweet, which read: “If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone.” Wheeler is a political pundit.
She claimed that half the country would cheerfully get rid of the biased, nosy iPhone & Android. A dumb little smartphone should be simple, right? The man builds rockets to Mars.
“I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone.” Musk said in response.

The announcement from Musk comes in the midst of demands from left-leaning groups and marketers to monitor content that they label as “hate speech.”
This week, Musk responded to the pressure campaign by claiming that the business had taken action against hate speech.
Musk tweeted, “Hate speech impressions down by 1/3 from pre-spike levels. Congrats to Twitter team!”
Musk continued, “I have half a mind to wag my finger at the 1500 accounts that caused the spike, but I shall forebear. Reducing the max allowed tweets/day to a number below what a speed typist on meth could do was helpful.”
After that, Musk responded to a query regarding his definition of hate speech from DailyWire+ host Jordan Peterson.
Musk replied, “This is simply based on the same list of terms that Twitter has used for some time, so ceteris paribus.”

A sweeping amnesty for accounts that had previously been banned from the network was another announcement made by Musk on Thursday.
Following the conclusion of a poll he put out on Wednesday, Musk made the choice. Next week, the platform will start mass-unbanning accounts, with the exception of those who disobeyed the law or sent out a lot of spam, he tweeted in response to the findings.
More than three million people participated in the poll, and the results were overwhelmingly in favor of amnesty: 72.4% of respondents chose “yes,” while only 27.6% chose “no.”
After the poll, Musk stated, “The people have spoken. Amnesty begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

Prior to the poll’s conclusion, Musk gave the impression that the platform will actually considerably scale back content control in order to target unlawful content and improve transparency.
