A check for $1,500 to a rugby club could bring down the whole Pelosi empire or at least make a big dent in it.
The check in question was allegedly a bribe paid by Nancy Pelosi’s son, which is why the Feds are looking into him.
Paul Pelosi Jr., who is Pelosi’s son, was recently found to have ties to 5 companies that are being looked into by the Feds for various illegal activities. He has never been arrested or fined for any of it, but he was involved with a lot more corrupt or thieving businesses than the average person.
Now there’s another one, and this time he might be a suspect. That’s what the Daily Mail says, which says:
Nancy Pelosi‘s son is embroiled in an FBI investigation into a San Francisco official who was allegedly bribed to turn a blind eye to a corrupt real estate plot.
Paul Pelosi Jr. and at least three of his associates were interviewed by agents in a five-year investigation that resulted in an indictment of a prolific building permit fixer for allegedly bribing a city official.
Paul Pelosi Jr. and his “associates” are accused of bribing an official, Rodrigo Santos, to remove permit violations on Pelosi Jr.’s girlfriend’s squalid, obviously not-up-to-code home. They are accused of bribing Santos, who has since been charged with fraud, by sending thousands of dollars to a rugby club that is supported by Bernie Curran, who is also accused of being corrupt.

Curran and Santos both say they did nothing wrong, but it looks like the FBI has a pretty strong piece of evidence against them: the check. So said the Daily Mail:
One of Santos’s clients, named only as ‘Client 9’ in the FBI documents, wrote the Golden Gate Youth Rugby Association a check for $1,500 to encourage Curran to remove violation notices against a squalid Mission District ‘hotel’ – known among building inspectors as ‘The Pit’ – which had a long history of dangerous permit violations, according to text messages obtained by the feds.
The Daily Mail report also says that even though prosecutors haven’t named Santos’s clients, one of the corrupt officials, Paul Pelosi Jr., was trying to remove violation notices from a horrible building that fit this description at the time. This has led to the idea that he or one of his business partners is the mysterious “Client 9.”
The Daily Mail said in a separate article that the documents were a “smoking gun,” saying:
Nancy Pelosi‘s son listed himself as the owner of a flop house tied to a fraud and bribery scheme prosecuted by the FBI in documents newly unearthed by DailyMail.com.
In the documents, Paul Pelosi Jr. signed statements that he was the property owner, ‘the party legally and financially responsible for this proposed construction activity’ and agreed to ‘abide by all applicable laws and requirements that govern Owner-Builders as well as employers.’
And they even show Pelosi Jr., 53, applying for one of the very same permits that building inspector Bernie Curran and ‘permits expeditor’ Rodrigo Santos have been indicted for.
The Department of Building Inspection (DBI) form, signed by Pelosi Jr. and dated December 7, 2017, is a ‘smoking gun’ that evidences the House Speaker’s son’s close links to the high-profile public corruption criminal case.
Paul Jr.’s admission in 2019 that he helped “remove the citations from the property” supports this theory.
The FBI is also said to have texts between the people involved in the case in which they talk about the price of the bribe check and what the person trying to get the violation notices removed for its money wanted in exchange.
Nancy has been dabbling in real estate while her son has been busy paying small bribes to avoid fixing up a dirty apartment. Well, perhaps not dabbling. She has a real estate portfolio worth tens of millions of dollars, which, along with the money she makes trading stocks, helps her make up for the small salary she gets from being in Congress.
If Paul Jr. wants to stay out of jail, he might want to stick to running the family hotels and office buildings instead of giving small bribes that get the attention of the government.
