Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases, and the nation’s top Covid doctor, had a rough farewell tour at the White House on Tuesday.
When Daily Caller reporter Diana Glebova shouted a question about what he did to investigate Covid origins, Fauci bailed and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre jumped on the grenade. Watch:
“Hold on one second,” KJP snapped. “We have a process here. I’m not calling out on people who yell and you’re being, you’re being, you’re being disrespectful to your colleagues and you’re being disrespectful to our guests. I will not call on you if you yell and also you’re taking time off the clock ’cause Dr. Fauci has to leave in a couple of minutes. I’m done. I’m not going, I’m not getting into a back and forth with you. Go ahead, Jeremy.”
All of this because a reporter actually demanded answers from Dr. Anthony Fauci and to hold him accountable for his Covid-19 origins investigation, which has gone nowhere under President Biden.
Fauci wasn’t done, however. He falsely insinuated that getting Covid shots and boosters can help stop the spread of the virus to family members and the community.
Fauci: "So my message and my final message — maybe the final message I give you from this podium — is that please, for your own safety, for that of your family, get your updated COVID-19 shot as soon as you're eligible to protect yourself, your family and your community" pic.twitter.com/J0AiUzoGdC

As Dr. Houman Hemmati, an MIT research scientist, recently underscored in an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” this claim is false.
“When the vaccines first came out, we were told repeatedly by the drug companies, by the White House, by so many others, that this will prevent you from getting infected and spreading it. We know that is no longer true. It was never true,” Dr. Hemmati said.
Fauci also fear-mongered about family members taking Covid tests before going to Thanksgiving dinner.
Dr. Fauci says you should get a covid test before you have Thanksgiving dinner with your family. I don’t think I’ve ever hated anyone more in American politics than Fauci. Not even a close second, honestly. pic.twitter.com/XaUU5llTrN

He barely stopped short of predicting another ‘winter of death.’

Dr. Jha, the White House’s Covid adviser, pretended that vaccination and boosters could prevent every Covid-related death in America.

As the CDC earlier pointed out, over 95% of Americans have some form of protection to Covid-19. The currently predominant BA.4 and BA.5 variants are far less deadly than earlier strains, and an estimated 97% of Americans have natural immunity from prior infection, according to CDC data. Dr. Fauci, recall, was once a big believer in “natural immunity” before the Covid pandemic came along.
Dr. Anthony Fauci earlier announced that he will retire by the end of the year. The timing of Fauci’s retirement in December prompted many of his critics and even his admirers to note that this would be only weeks before the GOP would be set to take over control of the House.
“I am announcing today that I will be stepping down from the positions of Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, as well as the position of Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden,” Fauci said in his August announcement. “I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career.
But it’s not just the House of Representatives that is interested in Fauci ‘clearing his schedule,” as Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) made unmistakably clear.
Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak.

“Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic,” Dr. Paul said. “He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak.”
In October, the strongest evidence yet came out that SARS-CoV-2 was created in a laboratory. Princeton researcher Alex Washburne announced the pre-print publication of the new study.
“We examined whether SARS-CoV-2 was synthesized in a lab. We studied a common method for synthesizing CoVs in the lab. This method was thought to not leave a fingerprint. We found the fingerprint. That fingerprint is in the SARS-CoV-2 genome,” Washburne said.
Dr. Fauci has some explaining to do. That’s likely why he can’t skip town fast enough.
