WATCH: Hungry Burglars Steal Cash Register From Drive Thru Window

You know things are desperate when thugs are now going to McDonalds to steal money.  They have to know that most people pay with a debit cards now.  How much money do they think they are going to get?  Desperate times call for desperate measures.  I wonder if they got their food first?  Check out what Fox News had to say about this.

Authorities say that earlier this month, a robbery suspect pointed a gun at a McDonald’s worker and pulled a cash register through the drive-thru window of the restaurant.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on November 4 at the North Philadelphia McDonald’s at 4163 Whitaker Avenue, the Philadelphia Police Department said Wednesday.

Police say that four people in a red SUV placed their order at the drive-thru and then went to the window to get their food.

The person who was sitting behind the driver pointed a gun at the McDonald’s worker and said, “Give me the money.”

Police showed a surveillance video from inside the restaurant that showed the employee moving away from the window as the suspect pointed the gun at him. Then, the suspect puts his hand through the window and pulls the whole cash register out.

The four suspects in the SUV took off with an amount of money that was not known. No one was hurt, and no one has been taken into custody. Anyone who knew anything about the armed robbery was asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department.
