Feminism for the Win! Mars Solves Gender Inequity With Candy!

Mars, the company that owns and produces some of the most iconic candies in American history has finally decided to honor the people who (likely) eat the most M&M’s with “all-female” packages that honors women who are “flipping the status quo.” Not only is the packaging going to be female centric, but the bags will exclusively display M&M’s female characters: the green, brown and most recently introduced purple M&M. Not stopping there, the company will only be including the “female” flavors in these bags. That’ll show the patriarchy!

Oddly enough, in an age where a man might be a woman, and a woman might be Lizzo, M&M’s seem to be taking a significant risk by gender labeling some of their candies. How can we be sure the green candy isn’t transgender, or the brown candy isn’t nonbinary. A risky move by Mars, but what we can safely assume is they are all nuts.

M&M’s creator Mars will release “all-female” M&M’s candy packages for a limited time to honor women who are “flipping the status quo.”

The company announced the feminist-forward candy wrappers Thursday, saying it will exclusively display M&M’s female characters: the green, brown and most recently introduced purple M&M.

In addition to featuring the three female M&M’s on the wrappers, each package in this limited run will only include the corresponding green, brown and purple candy-coated chocolates.

The packages will feature the female M&M’s flipped upside-down to represent how women “are flipping how they define success,” according to PR Newswire.

Obviously, this is a pandering move by the Mars Corporation, but at least they are pandering to a group that deserves it. After the short lived #metoo movement, women have suffered massive losses. Sneaky men are taking their trophies, stealing their pageants, and skulking around the locker room pretending to be women. M&M’s are striking a blow for chocolate loving ladies everywhere.

The series will come in milk chocolate, peanut and peanut butter varieties.

This move is the latest in a series of marketing moves M&M’s has made to promote inclusivity. Its previous announcement involved the introduction of the purple female M&M who represents body positivity and self-acceptance.

Early in 2022, Mars announced it would alter its mascots to “reflect the more dynamic, progressive world that we live in,” saying the “refreshed M&M’S brand will include a more modern take on the looks of our beloved characters.”

“Dynamic” and “progressive” could be two of the words used to describe our world right now, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good thing. The world is indeed upside down, though not through the fault of women. Rather it’s small special interest alphabet groups like the lgbtq mob, and leftist kooks preaching that there are unlimited genders, men can be women, and men can menstruate and be pregnant. Because science? Women have taken the brunt of the losses from the woke movement, and Mars is attempting to throw ladies a token win in the shape of delightfully delicious chocolate candies.

“Women all over the world are flipping how they define success and happiness while challenging the status quo, so we’re thrilled to be able to recognize and celebrate them,” she said. “And who better to help us on that mission than our own powerhouse spokescandies Green, Brown and Purple?”

I support women and equality, and hope ladies everywhere support Mars by buying their favorite M&M product and indulging. Just indulge responsible, ladies. We already have a Lizzo.
