The wife of the Super Bowl LVII champion quarterback and MVYP Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, demanded an apology from all of those who doubted or questioned the Kansas City Chiefs in the beginning of the season.
The Chiefs, despite all the doubt directed their way, won their division, the AFC title, and the Super Bowl by completing a 38-35 comeback against the favored Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday. Mahomes also became the first quarterback to win regular season MVP to go on to win a Super Bowl game, with the previous nine QBs falling short in the annual contest.
“I think a lot of people need to apologize for what they said about this team at the beginning of this season,” Brittany Mahomes wrote on her Twitter account.

Part of what Mrs. Mahomes was referring to came as division and conference rivals stepped up their investments during the past offseason to make themselves more competitive against the offensive juggernaut Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have been in three of the past four Super Bowls, winning twice. Mahomes is also a two-time MVP.
Fox wrote of the busy off-season:
The noise crept in at the beginning of the season as division rivals like the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders added impact players to their offenses and the Chiefs traded away one big receiver in Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. The Broncos acquired quarterback Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks and the Raiders traded for wide receiver Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers.
Of course, while the moves looked good on paper, the reality is that most of the high-profile signings and acquisitions sputtered out of the gate. The Denver Broncos unloaded their roster to acquire former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, only to watch their offense implode the entire season. The Las Vegas Raiders pried away Aaron Rodgersā favorite target in Davante Adams, only to likewise stumble through a disappointing season.
While the missus might be demanding an apology, it seems that her victorious husband is more focused on the sweet revenge that comes merely by winning. He was also enjoying the fruits of those labors by spending time at Disney. KTLA, reporting on that trip, said:
Patrick Mahomes and his family celebrated the Kansas City Chiefsā Super Bowl victory with a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California on Monday.
Mahomes, his wife Brittany, one-year-old daughter Sterling, and 11-week-old son Patrick āBronzeā Lavon Mahomes III, posed for photos in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
āWelcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze and Sterling,ā the Super Bowl MVP posted on Instagram. This was the first photo of Bronzeās face that had been shared publicly.
Mahomes was also joined by Mickey Mouse, Minnie, and other characters in āa jubilant cavalcadeā down Main Street U.S.A.
So, apology from the sports world at large or not, Mahomes and Brittany are celebrating now that the season is over and Super Bowl is won.
