Fox News Anchor Greg Gutfeld appeared on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast recently. During the show, he spoke about the day he met his wife. Straying from his usually funny routine, Gutfled got serious and described the day as being one that changed his life changed forever.
Speaking ono that day and how he met his wife of 18 years, Gutfeld said:
“When I met her I was the editor, it was my first day on the job at Maxim UK, but we had a meeting in Portugal with all the Maxim mags, and she was the photo editor of Russian Maxim. So, she’s Russian, she was 21, and I was 39, and her hotel room was next to mine, which shows you how lazy I am, but I met her, and I go, ‘Oh, that’s my wife.’”
“I just knew it, I just knew it, and then I spent three days in Portugal trying to talk to her, and then the last night that I was there, the guys from Czechoslovakia, or whatever you call it, the Czech Republic, they were going to go into town and get really fucking high, buy coke and do all that shit, and I’m going to do that, because this is not happening, I’ve been working on this girl and it’s not happening.”
He gave it “one more shot” and told Elena Moussa that she was “the most beautiful woman” he had ever seen. Her response was nothing short of hilarious:
“And she just said, I’ll never forget it, she goes ‘I’d expect something better from Greg Gutfeld,’ and that’s the first real sentence.”
Apparently, she wasn’t yet sold on the relationship. She told Greg that there was no chance for a real connection beyond that night, but he didn’t let that deter him:
“We hung out that night and she said that if we slept together she would never see me again,
After that remark, Gutfeld quickly summed up the story, saying, “It was like in three months we were married.” It seems that his pursuit paid off, as the couple is still happily married to this day.
She certainly chose a winner, as Gutfeld has been dominating ratings as people tune in to watch his program and tune out of woke networks like CNN and MSNBC. Forbes recently reported, for example:
Fox News Channel dominated the week’s cable news ratings, with The Five taking the title as the most-watched show in cable news. The Five drew an average total audience of 3.332 million viewers for the week ending January 22nd, according to ratings data compiled by Nielsen. The panel program continues to be a stronger performer, despite airing outside of prime time, when viewership levels are higher.
After The Five, the highest-rated shows of the week were Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.086 million viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (2.647 million viewers), Hannity (2.386 million viewers) and Special Report with Bret Baier (2.367 million viewers)—all airing on the Fox News Channel.
In prime, Fox News led the cable news networks with an average total audience of 1.996 million viewers—beating CNN and MSNBC combined. Overall, Fox had fully 92 of the 100 highest-rated cable news telecasts for the week.
