Morgan Wallen continues to defy the mainstream media who want him canceled. The country singer released his album “One Thing at a Time” earlier this year and has found himself at the top of country music charts since.

Wallen’s success in sales did not correlate to an award at the woke CMTs, but that hasn’t stopped fans from keeping “One Thing at a Time” atop Billboard’s Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 album charts, says the Daily Caller. “Last Night” the single that tops the Billboard Hot 100, has received over 35,000,000 streams and 30,000,000 impressions on the radio. The song has also held first place on the Streaming Songs chart for a whopping five weeks. The Daily Caller wrote this about “Last Night”:

“The excellent track first hit the top spot back in February, well before the entire album dropped. It then helped Wallen break a 40-year record for topping both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs charts. No artist had held both positions since 1981, when Eddie Rabbitts “I Love a Rainy Night” hit both positions.”

For those who are not in the know, Wallen had a run-in with the cancelation police when he was caught on a video saying the “n-word” after a night out drinking with a couple of his buddies. Ever since then, the left has been out to get him.

For his part, Wallen was quick to apologize following the incident. He said, “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

But, despite the apology and his huge, number 1 hits, the mainstream country music mandarins refuse to recognize him with plaudits or awards.

Meanwhile, however, mainstream country is more than willing to back wokeness, as seen by the annual Country Music Television (CMT) Awards show that infuriated many country music fans, as it was hosted in part by 29-year-old singer Kelsea Ballerini, a woke radical who made the show all about leftist politics.

Ballerini, during the awards show, performed on stage alongside drag queens in an apparent rebuke of Tennessee’s GOP-backed legislation, which makes it a crime to perform lewd shows like that in front of kids. That legislation has since been stopped by a federal judge.

Posting about the sick performance on Twitter, she said, “If you go down, i’m going down too 🏳️‍🌈 // thank you to these iconic queens and @manilaluzon @kennedyddoftx @janjanjan@TheOliviaLux and @CMT for celebrating love, self expression, and performance.”

Here’s a video of the performance:

So that’s okay, attempting to subvert the laws of country music’s home state is cheer-worthy, but a country singer that made one drunken slip-up must be shunned and banned forever. Perhaps it’s time for conservative to give country music the Bud Light treatment.
