Discussing the recent Bud Light boycott’s effectiveness, including both people not buying the products produced by Anheuser-Busch InBev and the stock price plummet of the same company, the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh said:
“The only negative here is the possibility that we won’t keep it up and this will just be a blip on the radar screen, and conservatives will just go back to buying Bud Light again. As long as we don’t make that mistake, then this is a big win. You can cut Bud Light out of your life in a second, it requires no effort, and you will be fine. Even if you like that kind of terrible beer, there are other types that are just as cheap.”
Continuing, he added, “The Left selected Mulvaney as their mascot for transgenderism. He was going to be famous no matter what we did. We can’t make Dylan Mulvaney un-famous. Once the Left has decided to do that with someone, we can’t stop it. We don’t own Hollywood, we don’t own the media. But we can make someone a much more toxic and divisive figure than he otherwise would have been. That’s what we did with Dylan Mulvaney, and it was well deserved.”
This is far from Walsh’s first series of posts about the Dylan Mulvaney-Bud Light partnership. Earlier, Walsh noted, “This is how persecuted these people are: all a man needs to do is announce he’s a woman, and he will be immediately showered with more endorsement deals than an NFL quarterback gets. In fact, one of the only quarterbacks who rivals Mulvaney’s sponsorship tally is Colin Kaepernick, and he’s not even a quarterback.”
He then addressed the beverage’s poor taste, stating, “Their beer tastes like rainwater siphoned out of a tin bucket that’s been sitting in your backyard for three weeks. Bud Light tastes very much like malaria and rust. It also tastes like nothing at the same time.” Finding a much better-tasting alternative to the beer will not be hard.
Then, after the Anheuser-Busch CEO tried to trick red staters into buying his company’s woke, gross beer again, Walsh ripped into the statement, saying, “Anheuser Busch has finally released a statement, and it’s just as clumsy and stupid as the marketing stunt that got them into this mess in the first place.”
Continuing, Walsh then said, “The statement won’t satisfy their conservative customers because there is no apology or acknowledgment of wrong. And it won’t satisfy the Left because it doesn’t affirm transgenderism and admits at least (without using the word) that the trans issue ‘“divides people.”’
He again hit the company for being idiotic, saying, “They had a few options in dealing with this PR crisis. Out of all the options, they chose the one with the biggest downside and no upside. Geniuses.”
Ending his Twitter tirade, he encouraged his followers to keep up the boycott, saying, “Anyway, the boycott is still on.”
