Megyn Kelly, host of Sirius XM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show,” leveled serious accusations at a senior executive at Fox News on Monday, saying that that executive was the one who was behind the recent leaks of out-of-context, slanderous background information about Tucker Carlson.
Specifically, Kelly accused Irena Briganti, the senior executive vice president of corporate communications at Fox News, of targeting Tucker Carlson by leaking previously unseen footage and private text messages to Media Matters and The New York Times. Briganti has denied those accusations, saying that Kelly’s accusation is “completely false and an outright lie.”
In any case, Kelly, accusing Briganti, said, “Two videos were released, oh, by whomever could it be — Irena — to The New York Times saying, in one, he called a woman ‘yummy,’ we have zero idea the context. Could’ve been his wife for all I know. Zero idea. And one, he said something like, ‘Will my post-menopausal audience still find me attractive in this outfit.‘”
“Nice try, Fox. But, you tried and failed. So they first leaked to The New York Times, this is my supposition for the record because it hasn’t been yet been confirmed, but I know it’s them. And I know it’s Irena Briganti who runs comms and fucking hates Tucker. Sorry, she hates his guts. And it’s mutual, he doesn’t like her either. None of us do. Nobody likes Irena.”
One of those leaked clips showed Tucker absolutely roasting a Dominion Voting Systems representative that he interviewed, describing the Dominion guy as “slimy,” as Trending Politics News reported, saying:
Another clip of Tucker Carlson – leaked to far-left ‘watchdog’ Media Matters for America – shows the host laughing along with his employees and slamming the lawyer from Dominion Voting Systems who questioned him during a grueling, 10-hour deposition.
“Well that was a week, I’ll say,” Carlson says in the clip before unleashing his trademark laugh. “Holy shit… 10 hours.”
“That slimy little motherf****r sitting across from me,” he continued, referring to the lawyer.
“That guy … he triggered the shit out of me,” Carlson said, “Unbelievable… suggesting that I was cheating on my taxes?”
In another, Tucker ripped Fox Nation, saying:
“I don’t want to be a slave to Fox Nation, which I don’t think that people watch anyway. We’re gonna, because I, you know, I’m like a representative of the American media now, speaking to an exile in Romania and welcoming him back into the brotherhood of journalists.”
“I’m just frustrated with the, it’s hard to use that site. I don’t know why they’re not fixing it. It’s driving me insane. And they’re like making like, Lifetime movies, but they don’t work on the infrastructure of the site. Like what? It’s crazy. And it drives me crazy because it’s like we’re doing all this extra work and no one can find it. It’s unbelievable actually.”
