Nathan Wade, the former special prosecutor hired by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, is facing accusations of contempt of court in a new divorce filing by his ex-wife, Jocelyn Wade. In the court documents released Wednesday, Jocelyn alleges that Nathan has neglected to pay her medical bills, including urgent procedures such as an endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ultrasound.
Despite Jocelyn’s direct request for prepayment and additional demands from her counsel, Nathan has failed to fulfill his obligation under the Temporary Order to cover these necessary healthcare costs. Instead, he instructed Jocelyn to make payment to the provider herself, promising reimbursement.
Nathan Wade received over $300,000 for his work on the Trump case after being hired by Willis in 2022. While both Nathan and Willis testified that their relationship began after he was hired, a former office employee claimed it started as early as 2021.
As part of the ongoing Fani Willis disqualification case, brought forward by Georgia Republican Party chairman David Shafer, Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee ruled that Wade must resign from the case for it to proceed. Wade ultimately resigned last month.
While McAfee chose not to disqualify Willis outright, he has reopened the case for further evidence. Lawyers for Shafer plan to introduce testimony from Cobb County Chief Deputy District Attorney Cindi Lee Yeager, who intends to testify that the relationship between Willis and Wade began as early as 2020.
