House Oversight Chairman James Comer revealed on Thursday that grand jury deliberations are currently focused on individuals implicated in the Russia collusion hoax. Speaking with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Comer indicated that significant progress is being made in the investigation. Earlier reports indicated that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi directed a federal prosecutor to present evidence to a grand jury concerning the alleged conspiracy tied to the Russia investigation. This decision followed a criminal referral by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
Sources are now suggesting that the grand jury may be convened in Florida, the site of the controversial Mar-a-Lago raid. ‘Last week it was uncertain if a grand jury had been impaneled, but now it appears that deliberations are underway,’ Comer noted. This new development could explain why some key figures have shown signs of unease.
The Justice Department has confirmed that it received Gabbard’s referral regarding the collusion hoax. Gabbard recently declassified a briefing from December 2016, which revealed that former President Barack Obama was aware that the narrative surrounding Russian interference was unfounded. ‘We assess that foreign adversaries did not use cyber attacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome this year,’ the report stated, asserting no evidence of cyber manipulation took place.
Gabbard characterized the documents as revealing a ‘treasonous conspiracy’ by Obama and high-level officials aimed at undermining the electoral process. ‘These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people,’ she said. Her commitment to seek accountability includes pushing for prosecutions based on the information she has declassified.
Additional emails have surfaced showing former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper advocating for the manipulation of standard investigative procedures to expedite the report on Russian interference. Despite objections from then-NSA Director Mike Rogers, Clapper insisted on rushing the findings, raising questions about the integrity of the investigation.
The release of these emails also points to a broader scheme involving former FBI Director James Comey and CIA Director John Brennan to strategically influence public perception regarding the investigation. This ongoing inquiry may lead to significant repercussions for those involved in what many critics are calling a politicized attack on a sitting president.
