A disturbing revelation has emerged from Utah Valley University following the assassination of prominent speaker Charlie Kirk. A student reported spotting a suspicious man on the roof of the Losee Center no fewer than two times in the weeks leading up to the assassination. This individual bears a striking resemblance to the person of interest whose images have since been circulated by law enforcement.
On September 12, 2025, the Utah Department of Public Safety released four additional photos of the suspect, further intensifying the investigation into the shooting. Earlier that day, the FBI had started its own release of images depicting the person of interest. The urgency is palpable, as officials continue to seek any leads on this concerning case.
“It was weird,” the student shared with CNN, revealing his growing unease about the figure he observed. He recalled that he alerted the FBI tip line following the shooting, connecting his observations to the tragedy. He last saw the man on the roof a week before the assassination, at noon on a Wednesday.
The man’s description adds to the mystery. The student characterized him as a “tall, skinny-ish white dude” with dark hair, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a backpack. Disturbingly, he was seen looking down towards the courtyard where Kirk was scheduled to speak. The student initially found it odd for anyone to be positioned on the roof like that but chose not to report it at the time.
The situation escalated further when a professor, who also noticed the man on the roof, attempted to check on him. “Hey, man, are you doing all right?” the professor asked. However, the individual simply dismissed the inquiry, lending an air of foreboding to an already tense situation.
As investigation efforts intensify, the FBI’s response to the tip shared by the student remains unclear. The student expressed frustration over the lack of follow-up, particularly as he took the step to report his observations to federal authorities.
