In a shocking turn of events, a Democratic politician from Georgia has been arrested in connection with a significant human trafficking operation. Carl Sprayberry, who previously ran for a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives, was caught during a four-day sting conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office. This operation, known as “Operation Lights Out,” aimed to capture online predators seeking to exploit children.
Upon announcing the details of the operation, the GBI stated, “A four-day proactive online undercover investigation… resulted in the arrest of 19 people on numerous charges, including human trafficking charges.” This statement highlights the gravity of the situation and the extensive measures taken to ensure the safety of children in the community.
Sprayberry isn’t just any alleged predator; he had made headlines prior to his arrest for dangerous remarks, including a call for the assassination of a former president. At the time of his arrest, he was working as a chef but had drawn significant attention during his political campaign for his extreme views. The GBI’s investigation revealed deeply disturbing actions aimed at vulnerable children, with undercover agents interacting with individuals attempting to arrange sexual encounters with minors.
