Reports indicate that this past weekend saw two vehicle-ramming incidents in Charlotte, North Carolina, targeting officers engaged in immigration enforcement. Furthermore, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has documented an astonishing 8,000% increase in death threats against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. This surge in violence is unprecedented, with comments from Assistant Department of Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin emphasizing the increased risks these officers face: “Our ICE law enforcement is now facing an 8,000% increase in death threats against them while they risk their lives every single day to remove the worst of the worst.”
