Rep. Barry Loudermilk is pressing for clarity on unresolved questions regarding the events surrounding January 6, particularly focusing on the situation of the DNC pipe bomb. Loudermilk, chair of the investigative subcommittee, has inquired about the details held by Kamala Harris’s Secret Service detail, intensifying scrutiny on their actions that day.

A recently uncovered video from January 6 shows a man believed to be a police officer exiting a DC Metro police vehicle at 12:51 PM, just before the explosive device was found. The timing raises serious questions. Did this officer play a role in placing the bomb next to a park bench? Despite thorough sweeps performed by police and the Secret Service before Harris’s arrival, no one seemed to detect the device.

The investigation into the failed security measures continues to deepen. A bomb-sniffing dog, present earlier in the day, inexplicably missed the bomb during its routine sweep. How could a highly trained canine overlook a device positioned just feet away at 9:50 AM? The apparent oversight raises concerns about the competence of the security measures in place on such a critical day.

Further, it’s remarkable that the Secret Service detail did not detect the bomb when they arrived at 11:25 AM. The timeline suggests a disconcerting possibility: that the device was planted moments after law enforcement conducted their initial checks. Loudermilk has raised alarms about how the situation unfolded, questioning why the security operations failed to notice such a serious threat.

Over the years, a narrative has been established that suggests unknown individuals placed the pipe bombs at the DNC and RNC headquarters on the night before the Capitol riot. Yet, with no suspect apprehended by the FBI, valid skepticism arises regarding that version of events. Could the person seen on surveillance footage the night before have had a different role, potentially acting as a decoy?

Loudermilk is demanding answers in his communication with Secret Service Director Sean Curran. He notes the contradiction in protocol, highlighting that at least ten agents performed a sweep hours before the bomb was discovered, which included bomb-sniffing canines that failed to detect any threat. “How did a Secret Service sweep and bomb-sniffing canines miss the so-called pipe bomb?” Loudermilk queries, stressing the need for thorough documentation and communication regarding the security procedures employed at the time.

In light of these revelations, it’s clear that the questions surrounding the DNC pipe bomb are far from settled. The inconsistencies in security operations raise pressing concerns that warrant further examination. The ongoing investigation led by Loudermilk is set to uncover the truth about the lapses in security that could have endangered lives on that fateful day.
