Federal and local authorities in Idaho have apprehended a suspect involved in a disturbing plot against a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facility. The incident unfolded when Sarah Elizabeth George, a 43-year-old from Boise, allegedly stole an ambulance and attempted to carry out a violent attack on the DHS office in Meridian. The attack began when George stole an ambulance from St. Luke’s Hospital. Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea described the act as “a serious criminal act” that endangered both first responders and the local community.
