Musk stated, “I would like to offer to pay the salaries of TSA personnel during this funding impasse that is negatively affecting the lives of so many Americans at airports throughout the country.” His suggestion has garnered appreciation, notably from Democratic Senator John Fetterman, who praised the initiative as “incredibly generous.” In a statement, Fetterman reflected on the hardships faced by TSA agents: “They are relying on food pantries and community donations just to get by.”
Fetterman’s support is notable, especially since he stands out as the only Democrat who has previously voted with Republican colleagues to fully fund DHS.
