A new coalition, named the Mass Deportation Coalition (MDC), has emerged, uniting long-time allies of President Donald Trump. This group consists of advocates for strict immigration policies and conservative policy experts, all pushing for intensified deportation efforts targeting illegal aliens in the United States. The MDC aims to lobby the current administration to prioritize deporting all illegal migrants eligible for removal, not just those with criminal backgrounds.

The MDC argues that the current state of immigration enforcement requires a significant boost to manage the alarming rates of unlawful entries and overstays affecting the nation. While the White House previously directed Republicans to emphasize the deportation of hardened criminals, the coalition insists that all illegal aliens should be removed swiftly. Notable figures within the coalition include former Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan, former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince, and influential think tanks like the Heritage Foundation.

A key aspect of the MDC’s strategy involves polling data intended to validate their stance that increasing deportations is crucial for electoral success, particularly in the upcoming midterms. A survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates revealed that 66% of likely voters in 2026 support deporting any migrants who entered the country unlawfully. Furthermore, 58% back the deportation of all deportable migrants, irrespective of their criminal history. “Overwhelmingly, Trump voters expect this from the administration. They don’t just support it – they expect it,” stated Chris Chmielenski, president of the conservative Immigration Accountability Project. He noted that focusing on deportations could reinvigorate the base as the midterms approach, reminiscent of Trump’s tactics in the lead-up to the 2024 election.

Immigration has consistently formed a cornerstone of President Trump’s platform, providing essential momentum during his 2024 presidential campaign. During his initial year back in office, Trump initiated significant changes in immigration enforcement and allocated substantial resources to agencies responsible for implementing his policies. However, concerns have arisen within the White House regarding the rhetoric surrounding mass deportations. Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair reportedly advised House Republicans to temper discussions on mass deportations, focusing instead on violent offenders.

This report has since faced challenges from the Trump administration, with spokesperson Abigail Jackson asserting that President Trump remains steadfast in his commitment to deporting illegal aliens who pose a threat to American communities. “President Trump’s highest priority has always been the deportation of illegal alien criminals who endanger American communities,” Jackson stated. She emphasized that nobody is altering the administration’s immigration enforcement strategy. According to the Department of Homeland Security, approximately 70% of recent deportations involved illegal aliens with criminal records. “Thanks to President Trump’s strong immigration enforcement policies, approximately 3 million illegals have left the United States, either through forced deportation or self-deportation,” she added, highlighting the effectiveness of the administration’s approach.

The emergence of the Mass Deportation Coalition signals a renewed effort among Trump allies to shift focus back to one of the administration’s most contentious yet vital issues: immigration. As the midterm elections draw near, how this coalition impacts the administration’s agenda and public sentiment will be crucial to watch.
