Recent reports from Campus Reform have exposed a troubling trend in several universities across the country. Some institutions are hosting private graduation ceremonies specifically for students who are in the U.S. illegally, labeled as “UndocuGraduation.” These events are organized in secrecy, with locations withheld from public knowledge, raising questions about transparency and legality.

California State University, Stanislaus (often referred to as Stanislaus State) is one such institution that has chosen this path. They describe their gatherings as celebrations for “undocumented students, students from mixed-status families, and their UndocuAlly supporters.” This practice raises serious concerns, as it appears to reward students for defying federal immigration laws. Reports indicate that around eighty graduates have registered for this unlawful ceremony.

The University of Washington is another participant in this controversial movement, calling their event an “Undocu Graduation Celebration.” The event is supported by their Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, alongside Leadership Without Borders, which serves illegal alien students at the university. The blatant disregard for federal law in this case is striking.

California State University, Long Beach, has also jumped into this fray by hosting a “Beyond Borders Celebration.” They have attempted to position this event as one that empowers students facing immigration uncertainties. One must ponder whether universities in Mexico would ever celebrate such open border policies for individuals breaking their laws.

But the concern doesn’t stop in California. Rutgers University in New Jersey is organizing a graduation for both “Undocumented and DACAmented Graduates.” This university is also managing a Rainbow graduation, suggesting an emphasis on diversity that marginalizes certain groups. In fact, the messaging sends a clear signal: straight White men appear to be the only group without a special graduation event.

California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) is yet another school engaged in these activities. They are hosting a Monarch reception to honor undocumented students and their supporters. This ceremony aims to recognize their accomplishments and success in defiance of existing immigration laws.

Overall, this situation reflects a concerning trend among these universities, which accept and even encourage illegal activities, essentially sending a lawless message to the student body. While this attitude is prevalent in California schools, it is not confined only to that state. It serves as a stark reminder of how certain educational institutions are embracing an ideology that challenges federal immigration law. Such actions expose the underlying dangers associated with open borders and highlight a problematic embrace of globalism that many see as irrational.
