The former nurse, who used the handle @Redheadredemption, went viral for promoting harmful acts intended to intimidate federal agents. Her videos included hashtags like #resist and #staytoxic, signaling a broader agenda aimed at undermining law enforcement.
In her now-deleted posts, the nurse suggested using saline-filled syringes or the strong paralytic drug succinylcholine to harm ICE agents. She even advocated for soaking poison ivy and spraying the solution at officers with water guns. Perhaps most alarming was her advice to single women on dating platforms, where she urged them to identify ICE agents and spike their drinks with laxatives to incapacitate them. In another instance, she suggested leaving dead fish in hotel rooms rented by ICE personnel. This behavior raises serious ethical concerns about the responsibilities of medical professionals.
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health responded to the situation promptly. Initially placing the nurse on administrative leave, the institution later confirmed her termination following an investigation. VCU Health stated, “Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health,” emphasizing that they have met their reporting obligations under state law.
This incident underscores a troubling trend. Just recently, an ICE agent in Minnesota received a menacing voicemail filled with threats aimed at him and his family. In the recording, the caller expressed hopes for the agent’s loved ones to suffer, showcasing the extreme hostility against those in law enforcement. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin condemned this rising tide of threats, stating that such attitudes stem from “sanctuary politicians” who vilify federal agents.
DHS data reveals that ICE officers have faced an astronomical increase in threats, with death threats skyrocketing by 8,000% and physical assaults growing by 1,300% under the current administration.
