Are you upset by the information coming out of Canada, often in the form of shocking tweets like the one below, where thuggish police officers brutalize peaceful protesters for no other reason than that those protesters dared to stand up to the incompetent, tyrannical regime?
Footage from Chaba Vizi’s last Facebook live stream demonstrates that he promises to surrender peacefully. He is in orange. He exits his truck, kneels down and places his hands behind his head before the police beat him. Livestream at 11 min, 41 seconds: https://t.co/fRzxHPdPFh pic.twitter.com/sOlKbhegYI

Well, so are many other Americans. Fed up with watching the country to the north go fully down the path of authoritarian tyranny, they’re ready for action and are trying to find ways to discourage Trudeau from further brutalizing his subjects in the name of “defending liberal democracy” or some such nonsense.
One such American is GOP Rep. Yvette Herrell of New Mexico. She, in an excellent Twitter thread, had this to say about what needs to be done to fight and stop Trudeau:
“Justin Trudeau’s heavy-handed crackdown against peaceful protesters in Canada is not the action of a Western Democracy, but that of an authoritarian regime like Venezuela.
Just as we provide asylum for political prisoners, we should do the same for truckers who have been subjected to violence, had their property confiscated, and their bank accounts frozen by a government that is quickly becoming the embarrassment of the free world.
I am introducing legislation that would temporarily grant asylum to innocent Canadian protesters who are being persecuted by their own government. We cannot be silent as our neighbors to the north are treated so badly”

Herrell isn’t alone in calling for amnesty for those truckers that need to flee the tyranny of the pretty-faced thug Justin Trudeau, the “liberal” with the heart of Assad, Xi, or any other brutal tyrant. Republican Rep. Mo Brooks said much the same thing recently, arguing that we should give the truckers amnesty. In his words:
“I would say to the Canadian truckers — we’ve got our supply chain issues here in the United States of America. We could use some more truckers in the United States of America. And I suggest we give or offer them all political asylum.”
Given that the House of Reps is, for now, controlled by Democrats and thus the whims of Nancy Pelosi, it’s unlikely that an amnesty for Canadian truckers bill would manage to make it through that chamber.
However, the very idea is itself a thumb in the eye of Justin Trudeau, who’s now seeing that many in America view what he’s doing with horror and, if given the opportunity, would take action against him.
Additionally, we’ll have to wait and see how our government responds to the incoming American trucker convoy, called the “People’s Convoy,” before determining if Canadian truckers would even want to come here.
If Biden behaves in the same, thuggish way as Trudeau, then perhaps all the truckers will have to flee to a different nation, one that actually respects individual liberty and the right to protest.
But, until then, it is nice to imagine all the Canadian truckers leaving their frozen hell behind and making the move to the wonderful United States.
