Jim Jordan, on the 8th of March, announced that he’d be appearing on Fox and Friends to discuss gas prices and why the Democrats are letting them roar ever-higher, saying on Twitter:
Do Democrats want $10 gas? Discussing that and more on Fox & Friends at 8:20 a.m. Tune in!

Well, his appearance didn’t disappoint: he sounded off on the Democrats’ plan to deal with gas prices.
Beginning his utterly merciless takedown, he began by recounting a hearing he was in where a California Democrat supposedly badgered oil executives into pledging to produce less gas and oil, saying:
“I sat in a hearing a few months ago where Ro Khanna, a Democrat member from California — the state that’s now got a $7 gas.
He had the oil and gas executives there in front of them, and he badgered every one of them, asking them one simple question: Will you pledge to decrease production this year?”
After telling that story as a way of emphasizing just how far the left has gone to, as he sees it, make fossil fuels far more expensive, he used the story to emphasize that the higher prices caused by their demands are just what the left wants, saying:
“I mean, the Democrats want $7 gas. So that is the biggest problem.”
Turning from the Democrat plans to the effect those plans are having on middle-class Americans, Jordan said:
“What that means to middle-class families, how that hurts our economy, how that drives up the price of everything because you got – it takes fuel to move goods around the country.”
And why is Joe letting that happen? According to Jordan, it’s because he’s scared of the far left and would rather appease them than stand up to them. In Jordan’s words:
“So it’s complete craziness, but that’s where the left is today. And unfortunately, they have complete control of the Democrat Party, and Joe Biden, I think, is afraid to stand up to them.”
That’s something Jordan emphasized before his comment on the $7 gas too; speaking on why the common-sense solutions to pushing down the price of oil won’t be implemented, Jordan said:
“The left doesn’t want to go there. Even if Joe Biden wanted to go there, his party won’t let him.”
In Jordan’s view, prices will stay high and easy solutions won’t be implemented because Biden is hostage to the far left.
And what are those common-sense solutions? Jordan spoke about them earlier in his appearance, saying:
“The real answer is, let’s increase production here. And understand, we’re in this terrible position because of stupid policy decisions from the Biden administration. You all know this — the canceling the Keystone Pipeline, not allowing drilling on federal lands, keeping Anwr open, those are things that need to happen. So, we’ve got to focus on that side of the equation.”
Finally, Jordan blasted Biden’s being held hostage by the left and resulting refusal to boost production as the reason why the administration is discussing buying oil from hostile regimes, saying:
“That’s why he’s talking to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela and Iran, for goodness sake.”
Watch him here:
All in all, an excellent performance from Jim Jordan, an excellent takedown of the radical left.
